A lot of people on the big istick thread are already talking about threading issues with these so this might be the most sensible mod that could have been done ( I'd still pay you good money to gut mine and do this+ a DNA 40 to it though... Just saying

Thanks for the post, I haven't received my istick yet so will stick it up in ebay as soon as it arrives. I went through enough pain when i starting vaping with the MVP and SVD static 510s.

I guess the top cap was a one off. My wife got her 510 a few days ago so I gave up mine. I've got hers rigged with an ego adapter in it so I don't need to drag around a mvp or vamo. Might as well use it until it fails again then trash it. Sure is a good looking fix for the istick though.

Can you make them a bit thinner? I replaced one with a VariTube 510 and it needed about 2mm of height to clear the fire button. I ended up using a crush washer for an oil drain plug for my motorcycle.

It is in a different position than the original 510 so there isn't any overhang with 22mm atomizers. Moving it back slightly required additional clearance.

I was going out this weekend in search of a box either aluminum or delrin to transplant the isticks guts in with enough room for the fat daddy 510 and not increase the size too much. Your top cap design is exceptional and exactly what I need to keep the little mods going. I'm heading over to the r/c sites to look for a higher capacity round lipo since I'll be that far in. Let me know if you machine more. Tnanks............

I believe you can fit any 18650 into it. A nice 3400 mah would be perfect

I've got a couple in 2500 and 3400mah but I believe the 18650 is a little longer than the round lipo from the factory. I will if I can get some of those slick topcaps though

You'll want a battery with at least 8 amp max continuous discharge or better

I've been a bit worried about my threads stripping out..... At least now if they do I have an idea of what to do to fix it. In really loving how someone put a DNA40 in one. Wonder if I could squeeze a DNA30 in mine.....new spring loaded 510, new 20 amp 18650 and a DNA30 board inside would make this the ideal pocket power house
