This appears to be another article with half truths and misleading conclusions based on the first page (summary) of the study. I've never heard of any other work done by the German Cancer Research Center so I don't know how credible they are, but this article appears to be a familiar twist on the data represented in the linked report.

The very first sentence in this "trash" ...
They contain, as their main ingredient, a substance that irritates the airways, usually along with toxic, addictive nicotine and some carcinogenic substances. In addition, they frequently have various technical flaws.

That's what I initially thought as well, but then I realized that pretty much all the negatives they point out are classic examples of "out of context" twisting of meanings. I didn't see anything that was an outright lie, but rather the familiar approach of making the data say what they want it to say in vague terms. Then again, I've only read the study once so I probably need to go back with fresh eyes and read it again.

I didn't read the study ...
just the fear-mongering article's first paragraph
starting with ...

I'm not impressed with Lying articles sprinkled with some truth
I assume that's why you broke the link

Correct, that is why I broke the link. I didn't want to give this article any Google juice for the reason you pointed out. I also decided to leave the link to the actual study intact so that we can review the actual data they included, even if the initial summary was emphasizing the potential and unproven negatives.
