Not the worst hack job I've come across, and you can tell that they're trying to be a bit balanced, but they are citing the old FDA findings from 2009. Please comment to fix the inaccuracies you find in the story and respond to other uneducated comments as needed.

IMHO if e-cigs were only proven to be 50% less hazardous then regular cigs, they should be embraced by all. If you have a DEFINATE killer behind one door, and a POSSIBLE killer behind the other, and you had to open one, I know which door I'd rather open!

I personally wouldn't open either door, but I do know which door I'd recommend to certain people.

I hear you....my point being people and organizations don't seem to remember what they are comparing e-cigs to. I would think any harm reduction even if it was minimal would be better than the deadliest alternative. I just think its time to cut a break to those who are making an attempt to quit smoking. And as for the article... The smoking laws were to protect others from second hand smoke. There is no justification to vaping bans in public out door communities. Lets not get carried away now with the whole "it looks like smoking thing". I have a neighbor that burns a fire in their back yard almost every night. THey fill my freakin house up with that emanating burning wood smell constantly, because its not smoking its ok? ALL those who judge and criticize smokers and vapors need to take a long look in the mirror and question their "perfect" faces and lifestyles! Sorry I know I am all over the place!! Just gettin more ...... by the minute! Time to take a vape!:vapor:

Let's not forget that most of the smoke nazis have been brainwashed and do not look at the issue rationally. Over the years I've debated this with non-smokers, asking them where they would put smoking on a list of "dangerous" or "unhealthy" substances they might breathe in, such as woodsmoke from a fire, vehicle emissions, emissions from industrial plants, pollen, air freshener sprays, bbq smoke, etc. Without hesitating, most will automatically say that tobacco smoke was definitely more dangerous than anything else. They only know what they've had hammered into their heads over the years by the ANTZ. What really gets me is the when-all-else-fails argument: "Well, I don't like how it smells!" Well, kiddo, I don't like how YOU smell, and what's more, your perfume/aftershave triggers my allergies and makes me crazy!

The ANTZ started out demonizing the dangers of smoking, then smoking itself, then secondhand smoke, and now they're out and out persecuting smokers. And since they can't see or don't want to see the difference between tobacco smoking and vaping, they want to persecute us as well. Only thing is, unlike smokers, who I think for the most part quietly accepted the persecution, we vapers are NOT going to go quietly into the night! We are fighting back, exposing their lies, and insisting on the truth. It really IS a revolution!

Now *I* need a vape...!
