im having problems with my eliit variable which is the same as a lava tube just different brand name i guess . ive only had it a few wks. the first time i got to charge my 2 baterries once each time and then they would not charge up after that. the first and second time i used the charger i got a red light on the charger and when the battery was charged i got an amber colored light. the third time i went to charge a battery i got a amber colored light from the very beginning of the charge, i left the battery on the charger for about 8 hrs. the charger light stayed amber colored and my battery was not charged, i tried my second battery and it would not charge either. the supplier sent me a new charger and i returned the one i had. the exact same thing has happened again with this new charger. the only difference this time is the light stays green from the time i put the battery in the charger and remove it and the battery is not charged. now the supplier is sending me one new battery and charger again . when i was talking to the supplier he told me when he got my old charger back at first it didnt work and then it started working . so we dont know exactly what the problem might be. this is getting frustrating(more down time than vaping time) does anyone know what the problem might be ?????

At this point, on the 3rd charger and 3rd battery trial ... if it happens yet again, i'd say it might be an issue with your outlet that you are plugging the charger in. It might be doing something to the circuits in the charger and frying the thing.

Just an idea?

Chances of 3 chargers in a row being defective, or 3 batts being DOA are very very slim.

i dont think its the outlet , i used a different outlet with the second charger. i also have a joye egot i have been using this unit for 2 months now and its charging and working just fine. i have not received the 3rd charger (it will be here in the next few days) i did not receive new batteries with the other chargers. this is the first time the supplier is sending me one new battery with the 3rd charger.

Oh Canada
What happened to paragraphs and punctuation.

Switched, you kill me! LMAO! That stuff bothers the .... outta me as well.

As for the OP, I agree with what MattB said. I have an outlet here that doesn't charge my PVs quite often. I unplug it and try a different one and it's fine. Hey, what about using a surge protector then plugging your charger into that? Just an idea.

It sounds like you have a great vendor there to work out the trouble with
your set, but I'd say 3 strikes you're out and return the package and
choose a different product entirely. My:2c:

That is if it doesn't work flawlessly for you this time of course.

Using the surge protector seems like a must in this case. Good idea!

Other than the paragraph and punctuations issue (Switcher really?! LOL), the problem may be with the combination of the battery and charger. I have found the flat top batteries to be finicky at best with some of the chargers coming out of china that expect to have a nipple top battery inserted into them.

Using a magnet spacer on the flat top should help to make the connection. Even better, get a proper charger that has charging nodes that stick out so that the battery can make contact.

if u would have read my second post, u would have seen that i tried a different outlet and that i have no problems with my EGO T and i have also tested the outlet so thats not the problem .

does the egot have built in surge protector?

surge protector might be worth trying

is everyone using surge protectors?

And speaking to your last line comment/ question...

"does anyone know what the problem might be ?????"

i dont think its a contact issue because the light lights up on the charger when i insert the battery.

i will try the magnet idea

will the magnet polarities affect the charging process?

When I plug a battery into a charger that does not make contact well, it still lights up. As for polarities, get the magnet to stick to the battery then plug it in..

I got 5mm x 3mm rare earths magnets that I use on my flat tops.

Wanna hear something that might be relevent. A few years ago I had a customers system that was blowing xformers like crazy. now i have 4 other customers in that building and not one has had any issues. After 4 xformers 4 different branch circuits and 3 panel replacements a $4 surge protector solved the problem.
