Elusion???

Hi K24A3, Thanks for the reply, I have emailed ecigz asking if they know what cartomizers fit the RN4081 so I'll let you know as soon as I find out.

I'm also waiting for an order from them which I imagine should arrive tomorrow or the next day, so I'm looking forward to that. I received some e-juice 3ml bottles today to try the flavours from strictlyejuice and quite like them so I have ordered some different flavours tonight. It only took 1 week for it to arrive from the US so hopefully my next order will be as quick.

I'll definately try some of the Vapor4life WOW juice you recommended as I haven't tried any other e-juices and it will be good to compare them.
I'm not a big fan of the kiwi fruit flavour and the watermelon though nice seems to be a bit stronger than the mango even though they are meant to have the same nicotine levels (maybe it just has the wrong sticker on the bottle, lol).
But mango flavour is definately my favourite so far, and the menthol freeze tastes more like a menthol cigarette than what the elusion carts taste like which I found to be more like tic tacs. lol. :)

I have a quick look for the adapters and haven't found one, but hopefully we can find one so that we can bypass purchasing from elusion for cartomizers.

I also wish we could replace the wading inside the elusion cartomizers as they easily burn, which isn't too much fun for your taste buds. My friend got an elusion aswell and we have noticed that the carts very a lot with how much you get out of them especially considering the 'premium' price you pay, I was wondering if you have noticed the same thing?

Sorry for the long winded post....:D

Really near the mexican border.
Welcome to ECF Dude,
I started with a very expensive kit and found out that it was not for me after about 4 months the batteries died and were replaced for free (1 year warranty) but it really sucked as both batteries would die at the same time and while I was returning theirs to get new ones I would go back to regular cigarettes, not my plan...Then I went to 510's with a 510>Kr8088D cartomizer and it worked like a charm....although I love the E9 battery *my first* These batteries last longer and are not near as expensive as the E9's. Just because it costs a fortune doesn't mean it's the best....That is my point....I personally don't know anything about the "elusion" but I have been in the same position.
AFter my first experience, I researched alot of ecigs before I decided to purchase another. I asked alot of questions first.
My advice to you is research....

Thanks for the warm welcome and quick response cyberwolf, when I get the elusion kit I can take some closer photos and put links up if that would help. It's just due to high prices on their website that it would be good if there is a cheaper solution to replacing the cartridges. I found a video on how to re-fill the cartridges for it, but due to the cost of the unit and being new to vaping I am a bit worried about doing so when I first get it.

I look forward to hearing from anyone else about their experiences and such to do with the elusion.

The Elusion e-cigs look like an overpriced copy of the blucigs.com setup. Blucigs appear to be M601/M602 models. They have an exposed bridge and the carts slide over the atty completely. The 4081 which is the NJoy Npro does not have an exposed bridge.

Hi naviathan, Yea they do look like the blucigs and also the eluma.

Hi Youthful313, thanks for the welcome! And I wish that one day you become a robot aswell, lol. :D

Thanks for the welcome Lorizgal!

I appreciate your advice and that sucks about the batteries only lasting ~4 months before they died, fingers crossed that mine don't do the same.
I'm not too worried about the purchase and have grown to quite like it. I have a 510 that should be here this week and will get my first chance to compare the two for myself which I am looking forward to. Generally speaking the only things I really 'research' before buying is computer equipment, because I usually spend more money on that than anything else, but thats not to say that it wouldn't be beneficial to do so with other purchases I'm just silly in that way, lol.

Hi K24A3, Great find!
If your getting one of these or if anyone else does who has an elusion could you please let us know if it works well.
I don't have any KR808 carts or I would just order one of these adapters.

On another note I got my 510 today and gave it a try I find it's pretty good, though at the moment I'm still preferring the elusion but I'm yet to give the 510 enough of a chance.

I think I found an adapter!

RN4081 = DSE103 = M401

KR808 = DSE901

Which means, this 401 Batt -to- KR808 Att should work!

401-901 silver adapter(401 bat to 901/808D-1 at)

Hate to be the one to shoot you down but I don't think a RN4081 Battery = M401

Here is a M401 Battery

And here is an RN4081/DSE103 Battery

They might have the same threads but one is Male and the other is Female.

...its all very confusing lol

ok so what we need is a RN4081/DSE103 Battery -> KR808D-1/DSE901

It's Very Confusing !!!

I went so far as to make this chart on a white board with model numbers and arrows showing what fit this and that.

I just don't understand why there would be such an adapter? There is an adapter for eveything else.

You would think with all the people who have RN4081/DSE103 batteries there is an adapter out there.

You might send Jeffery at wordup an e-Mail and ask hime if he has one.

www.wordupecig.com

He told me about 6 weeks ago he could get them. I e-Mailed a few times asking if they were coming and kept saying soon. I don't want to keep bugging him.

Ok I have but one question, and a whole series of complaints.

Firstly can you refill the Elusion with juice?. I am a 16mg smoker and the $19.75 price tag for the cartridges is a damn joke, not to mention the further $19.50 for freight.

Elusion are eluding my questions (pun intended), I have asked about the discount coupons, or whatever they are called....no reply.

They are out of stock of the 16mg asked when they will be back in stock 3 times no reply.

Asked why postage is so dear when the items can be placed into a $2.00 post pack...no reply.

Yet when I ordered the 11mg to get me by, I immediately got a reply from them.

They seem increasingly dodgey, I think i will wait for the cheap Chinese ones to hit the market at a much cheaper rate or switch to the Green brand.

Any ideas you people of infinite wisdom?.

Terry.

Hi Terry,

Welcome to ECF!!!

Unfortunately I don't have infinite wisdom :(

But I do know that you can refill the cartomizers and it is fairly easy, as I do it all the time.

Here is a youtube video that tought me how to do it.

YouTube - Elusion Ecig - How to double your cartridge

(I hope I'm allowed to post a link to youtube, sorry if I'm not :S)

I followed that basically except I didn't use a fork to get the cap off the cartridge I use the wire from a bulldog clip and edge my way around the inside of the cap carefully because they are GLUED! Also I remove the little rubber O ring and I haven't gotten juice in my mouth yet, but I also don't over fill them.

If this hasn't helped let me know where your stuck and I'll do my best to help more.

Also I agree completely that the price is a joke but refilling them also helps cover the lost money of the initial outlay for the cartomizers. So 5 cartomizers for $20 but then you can refill them ~4-5 times for the price of the e-juice which makes it alot better.

The $20 shipping is VERY expensive but generally if you order in the morning of a week day they come the next working day which is AWESOME!

I haven't emailed them with any questions so I can't comment on that but by the sounds of it they suck at getting back to you unless they are getting money regardless, which is terrible.

I haven't been told they were out of stock on any cartomizers that I have ordered and I get 16mg as well.

The only real way to offset the price of shipping is to order a bigger quantity but needing to do so is really off-putting especially to new users who are unsure if the elusion is for them.

I have a joye 510 as well as my elusion and have only used it when my battery has run out on my elusion. But with that being said my friend who also has an elusion tried my 510 and has now ordered 1 as he really likes it so I guess it is all a matter of preference.

A quick suggestion from my experience is that elusion flavours are not as good as the e-juice I've tried, I didn't like their coffee or apple in future I will only get plain 16mg cartomizers from them and once used I will just refill them with the flavours I like.

Also some of the cartomizers I have seem to run out quicker than others which can be REALLY INFURIATING considering the "premium" cost.

Sorry for the long winded reply. :)

Hi. I have an elusion kit as well as a 510. It seems the 510 to 4081 adapters i have don't fit the elusion carts.... well one of them almost fits but is loose and pops off. I'd like to keep refilling my elusion cartomizers and use them on my cheaper 510 batteries and pass through.. I thought of making a custom adapter using the battery thread of my elusion battery but i have to wait for my battery to die first.

Regarding the elusion. I can't complain too much as using it made it an effortless transition from analogs to ecigs. I was so surprised that i totally didn't even feel the need to have a normal smoke. The hardest habit to break was reaching for a lighter before puffing on the e cig :p So it is pretty good if a little pricey(compared to other ecigs not real smoking). When i first switched from analogs(3 weeks ago) I was going through 2 16mg carts a day.. But that's dropped down to 1 a day now but still can get expensive when compared to the other options out there. I don't intend on ordering any of their batteries for instance. After reading this thread i considered ordering 4081 batteries as replacements but because my adapters don't fit i have to assume the batteries won't either. I do like my elusion though. It seems to give a better throat hit than my 510.. That could just be down to the different liquids i'm using.
