If your using it as a sweetener it is not a sweetener. EM is used to give a mix more body and thickness. It has the added benefit of bringing out sweetness in an already sweet mix. EM will actually mute flavor over time if over used. Recommended percentage to use is .5% (Point 5 or half a percent).

EM will work to make a cotton candy flavor if that's the only flavor that your going to use and if I recall that was 8 - 10% but don't hold me to it. But to sweeten other flavorings it does not work well. It may sweeten at first but the flavor will fade.

If it's sweetness your looking for use regular sweetener (Sacralus or steva) at 1 - 2%.

Cotton candy is just a stronger mix of EM. You can just use less of cotton candy to get the EM taste. If you don't like that cotton candy taste use a sugar substitute liquid like Sucralose. They sell it as sweetener on a lot of flavor sites. Also E-zsweetz sells a 5 mil bottle for $0.01 plus shipping. That is how i got my first e-liquid sweetener.

Wouldn't that depend on how the DIY'er mixed his/her EM. I believe most folks make it at the same ratio as the TFA original Cotton Candy.

There is a "standard" for how to mix the EM crystals. When you see EM in a recipe, that is assuming it is mixed at the standard ratio. Cotton candy flavoring is EM mixed at that standard ratio. If it calls for 2% EM, use 2% cotton candy. Next time you have a chance to buy some actual cotton candy, get it and try to pinpoint a flavor. You won't be able to. Cotton candy is simply sugar, with food coloring to make it pink, blue, etc.

I believe you are making the same point as I
