Email from ecf?

For the first time in almost a year i have gotten an email from ECF. Kind of took me by surprise and was signed by smokey joe.

It was entitled "is big tobacco threatening vaping in your area?"

I'd post the email, but in case it is not legit i did not post it.


so is this email legit?

It is legit. Smokey Joe is sending out newsletters now with important or interesting information.

I thought the little note about the Provari giveaway for supporting members was slightly interesting.

This would most likely be an issue with a browser or firewall setting. I just checked all the links in the email and they all worked fine for me.

Question.. in the email it said something regarding membership.. I was thinking about supporting ECF anyway (don't really want the big sign under my name tho) ANYway.. do any of the procedes indirectly help CASAA?

ECF promotes CASAA's Calls to Action; gave CASAA free banner space that appears randomly in with the vendor ads at the top of the forums and gave CASAA a subforum to use, which greatly helps our outreach to the e-cigarette community. They also help CASAA's mission by having the Legislative and Media forums. So, keeping ECF up and running does help CASAA.

thanks for the info! glad this is legit. Like i said it was a bit of a surprise. In todays world of phising, scams and spoof emails you cant ever be too careful when it only takes 2 seconds to go ask

I make the payment every year but cancel my subscription immediately because I don't like recurring payments. I think that probably voids my contest entry.

How would it affect things on ECF? Once the payment has cleared, you're paid up for the year.

That's what 5cardstud is doing. Once the ECF payment clears paypal, he kills the subscription so it's not automatically renewed.

Nope it doesn't change your eligibility at all I recommend that folks do that since a yearly recurring payment is something that often slips your mind and I am one of those people that doesn't like surprises, even if it is just something I forgot.
