1- Dandruff and dry hair. I had my last cigarette on the 2nd. (Started vaping beginning of march). Two days after last cigarette .. major itchy scalp.. i scratched and it looked like snow falling out of my head! ....

3- constipation .. sweet mother .. i won't get into details lol

I always have had plenty of fluid intake.. so i don't know if i should increase it or if this is my body ridding itself of the toxins in cigs..

Anyone else experienced these issues?

Went through 2 out of 3 of those...PMS wasn't part of it. ;)

I chalked it up to the body ridding itself of toxins.

Once all that cleared up, I went through two or three weeks of the damnedest dry mouth I've ever had, but eventually that subsided as well. Just kept drinking lots and lots and lots of water.

I'm in the habit now of drinking 2 to 3 liters of water a day. Feel a ton better.

Are you taking any medications?

I'm getting older.. but never has it been this dry.

2- PMS
I've always had the typical mood swings associated with PMS.. but this last one since finally quitting was brutal.. weeping.. acting like a complete ahole.. i even yelled at my boss! I'm lucky she's cool bc i deserved to get fired for my outburst.

And the most embarrassing ..to me.. ba da dum...

You could google "girl parts discussion" but it may not bring back exactly what you were looking for...

I think the big thing is to stay hydrated. Also, try 100% vg and see if it helps. I'd start with the extra water because if you change a bunch of things and it goes away, you won't know which one helped. Since most people don't drink enough water anyway, adding in something that dehydrates you more can have a pretty significant effect.

My hot flashes got hotter but i lowered my nic for relief.

Stay hydrated and eat more fiber for constipation.Good thing i love oatmeal.

Could be worse..... I broke out in zits.. EVERYWHERE. But the constipation/dry skin is common.

Can't help with female stuff, don't have the parts..

WTA = whole tobacco alkaloids.. some people believe adding them into e liquid alleviates cravings better than 'regular' e liquid.

I had the quit zits too!! Along with being extremely tired & sleepy & when I did sleep I had night sweats!!! Ugh! It's been worth it though!

Well, from an older girl to a younger girl, it all sounds like normal issues to me. Unfortunately we can't turn back the clock...

I have experienced those issues on and off even when I smoked. I don't think they have anything to do with vaping.

Omega 3 (fish oil or flax seed oil) supplements will take care of the hair and colon issues (by the way your nails will also benefit, you'll be able to grow them longer). High dosage vitamin B complex will take care of the mood swings and temper issues.

Now, if you start experiencing hot flashes, then I suggest you see your doctor. You're probably not old enough, but I'm just throwing it out there LOL.

During the first month, I experienced items 1 and 3. Pleased that you brought up this topic. I assumed it was par for the course, having quit smoking and having started vaping.

Back in the Bay Area, I normally drink some 2 to 3 liters of water a day. Here in Vegas, it's 3 to 4 liters of water a day. As such, I think I may have bypassed any dehydration related issues.

1. itching is normal. you are detoxing and everything you do is in your hair/scalp (why hair drug tests are the most accurate)
hair being dry is probably completely unrelated to vaping** since in today's society we wash often enough that the oils produced by the scalp never get to the actual hair shaft.
getting a "dandruff" shampoo can actually make matters worse at the scalp and on the hair shaft.
for the dryness, get a *good* hair mask and use only on the hair shaft at least once a week.
coconut oil also helps with the skin and hair - applied to dry hair and washed out...vaccum, watch a show, do whatever (the longer the better) and then shampoo/condition normally...just don't plan on putting it on and looking like a supermodel...especially if you bag it with a processing/disposable shower cap :D

2. your hormones are going to be all whonky....everything is changing, adjusting, healing, rebalancing

3. i know many ppl that started their "morning ritual" with coffee and a cig...so maybe it is just that you have lost your normal "laxative" and your body hasn't adjusted yet...
water, water, water....and then some more water will help 1-3 :)

** i thought about it some more...environment/vapor/smoke *can* dehydrate your hair/skin, just like chlorine can waft into your hair from sitting in a hot tub and not getting your hair wet. (had a brain fade when i wrote the above, sorry!)

1- Dandruff and dry hair.

Yepper. Back as a n00b, Vail, CO, would have been jealous! We're talkin' major 'powder'! Still get da occasional light 'snow flurry' if I don't keep up with hydration. That, plus I endured scalp 'eruptions' and nasal pimples in da most remote and inaccessible proboscal crevasses! Thankfully, my digital spelunking demands have waned.

Don't have much input here. All I know is that I'm sooooo thankful that when I quit 'bakky cold turkey for ten weeks 'bout 18 years ago, my bride didn't suffer that infliction. Ummmm, now that I think 'bout it, maybe she did and I was just too miserable and busy being a witch with balls. Oh, wait...

3- constipation

No crap, tell me 'bout it! (Day-um, that was redundant.) Never mind, ya already have...

Anyone else experienced these issues?

Just keep in mind that your bod is trying to 'shed' all da 'bakky nasties and will need lotsa liquid! Flush, flush, flush... da body...

Yep, dry, dry, face and hair.

In fact my face is red and BURNING, itchy, dry, and oily all at the same time. Scalp is really dry and my body has spots and is itchy. I have no idea what is causing it but I got some Tea Tree oil soap (Dr Bronners) and am using that all over (including my head, with a vinegar rinse for my hair) and following up with witch hazel and coconut oil. I've only been doing this for a few days--symptoms came on suddenly at about 4 weeks without cigs and I'm at about 7 weeks. My scalp is doing MUCH better but my face still feels raw. If it doesn't get better in a week or two I'm not sure what I'm going to do.

I look like I just had laser or chem treatments on my face, and I did nothing different except quit smoking. I've been trying to isolate if I'm having a reaction to PG, but unfortunately I need WTA juice sometimes and that is 70 PG/30 VG. The only 100% VG juice I have, I have been vaping but it doesn't seem to make much difference.

I'm a bit frustrated at this point and tired of feeling like I have a perpetual sunburn...

Ditto on the constipation--I regularly take a fiber supplement that gives 12 grams of fiber per serving (take two at night) and with the VG things seem better.

Not having any PMS stuff that I can tell...you'd have to talk to my BF about that, he might notice it more. :D

Ooh girl I am with you on the pms.

Seriously my Baldwin county friend, when I quit smoking in 2010 I developed colitis. I've been hospitalized a few times over it. Right now I'm on medication that really helped it.
Oh.. i thoought you were a man.. sorry about your pms and colitis! Glad the meds are helping :)

Wait..you were joking.. about the pms.. i imagine you to be a lil hottie lol

Dehydration, GIRL! Seriously, you almost have to force enough liquids in you...If you drink too much coffee or tea, that might dehydrate you, too. Body is releasing toxins and you have to flush them out. I drink a TON of water, seltzer water and vitamin water zero now--about 4 times more than I used to. If you are dehydrated, constipation and dry skin is one of the first signs. If you up your fiber intake, drink more liquids, because if you don't it can have the opposite effect. Hang in there, Lynn!
