Switched, 5cardstud, you guys do know there are services to recover data from crashed and/or re-formatted drives. I paid a bit over $100USD to have a 'crashed' h/d recovered and lost virtually nothing. To me it was worth the price.

Ya I got a program but I messed up and saved to the same drive which erases it all. It's okay though because I just had about a TB of old movies and I have many of them back on the new 2TB. HDD. The 150 John Wayne movies I had were all on disk too so I didn't lose them Whew.

I still have the drive and yes Mike I knew about it. Just gotta find the time to take the sucker in.

Let me know Switcher, I have a program that will get it back Here is from the read me.

can recover folders and files that were lost because of following causes:

1. Intentional (trashed files) or unintentional deletion
2. Viruses
3. Formatting a disk
4. FDISK or any other disk-partitioning tool
5. All other non-physical data loss problems

Mine quit spinning so the only thing I could do is have the disks removed and done. Or by another hard drive and swap the disks. I've already got 75% of my stuff back plus so what the heck.

You have spiked my interest :)
The name of the program is EASEUS Data Recovery Wizard Professional 5.5.1. You can Google it and read about the program as see if you think it will work.
