Hi there folks, can any of you out there in Vapeland offer any advice on how to emulsify a juice? I bought some black liquorice flavour from Flavor West a while ago, mixing a 50/50 PG VG mix but the flavouring keeps floating to the top.
I have been gently heating my PG and adding the flavouring to it (on recommendation from Flavour West) but it separates out after it's been sitting a while.

Sounds like it's an oil-based flavoring, which isn't ideal for vaping, as it doesn't mix with PG/VG really.. At all. Even if you get it temporarily mixed, it'll probably separate out into little bubbles over time.

You want flavorings that are water-soluble, suspended in alcohol or PG.

Thanks, I thought that might be the case. I have found another source of flavouring from LorAnn that is entirely water soluable.

On a positive note, you can make some pretty nifty anise-style baked goods (biscotti might be tasty) using that oil-based black licorice flavoring, or straight-up make some black licorice.

Flavor West black licorice isn't oil based. I use to like it a couple of years ago but have not used it lately. I didn't have any problem with it separating.

Black Licorice Water Soluble Flavoring. Ingredients: Natural and Artificial Flavoring, Triacetin and Ethanol. USP Kosher Grade Flavoring. Usage Rate 15-20% for E-use. No Refunds on Flavoring. Color Level: Clear. Independently laboratory tested Diacetyl free.

Are you shaking the heck out of it?

Huh, looking at their site they only have one version on it, but I thought Flavor West sells (or used to sell) multiple variations of the same flavoring. I could be mistaken.

Where'd you actually buy the flavoring from? The FlavorWest site? Or another vendor..? Very odd.
