Yeah, the mesh number measurement is annoying because it’s meant to deal with something totally different than what we do. The size of the hole doesn’t really matter. What matters is electrical resistance, mass, and surface area. What we get is what we get though.The actual hole count has an equivalent micron value – 200 mesh = will allow 74 microns to pass through it. 100 mesh = 149 microns. So by reducing the hole count, you are increasing the hole.
