I agree with ya on the EMDCC's.
They work so well for me that I've gotten in a rut and haven't experimented with any other set-ups on my pipe...
Look forward to seein' what you come up with using the universal stems.
I finally got myself a pipe. I made a new button/switch because sometimes I want the bright brass (and none of the three buttons I got with it were bright), and I cut the round "mouthpart" off the rubber tip of a dual-coil mega type-b so I could flip it around as an adapter for an eight and a half inch churchwarden stem from a regular tobacco pipe. And this is the monstrosity I've turned Matt's handiwork into:
