Unfortunately, I won't have time to mix until at least Tuesday. I also think that LBL has more than 1% EM in it, as I remember it tasting like cotton candy until I steeped it. Maybe even "Circus Cotton Candy" since a lot of people say it has a hint of blueberry in it.

I'll probably make a few test batches with the flavors I have. I'm thinking...

LBL Clone #1
8% TFA DK Type tobacco
2% TFA Brown Sugar
1% TFA Ethyl Maltol

LBL Clone #2
8% TFA DK Type tobacco
2% TFA Brown Sugar
5% TFA Ethyl Maltol

LBL Clone #3
8% TFA DK Type tobacco
2% TFA Brown Sugar
1% TFA Ethyl Maltol
3% Blueberry Wild

LBL Clone #4
8% TFA DK Type Tobacco
2% TFA Brown Sugar
5% TFA Ethyl Maltol
3% Blueberry Wild

Just wondering if you've tried the DK on its own at 8%?

It's pretty potent!

Malty of course! I wonder if malty flavoring would be useful in beer brewing? Things to think about for the next homebrew batch...

And 100% vg juice doesn't mean one cannot use pg flavoring I wouldn't think for our purposes

What? If you are using pg based flavoring it's going to dilute the Vg. Use 10% flavoring in a recipe and you'd have a 90% Vg juice if using a 100% Vg base. Right?

I did say for our purposes pg flavoring would be ok?!?!?!
I don't work in vg base flavorings, or vg based nic for that matter, I was merely passing that along to those who are trying to clone these flavors..I am one of them, and I will maybe go 50/50, but I like lots of throat hit..

I started my attempts.

Testing DK for a good percentage:
8%: Way too strong! Actually upset my stomach a little.
4%: Too weak. The flavor is there, but barely
6%: Pretty good.

I did my LBL #1 from above with 6% DK instead of 8. Definitly reminds me of LBL, but needs something. I don't have any more time to test tonight, so I'll mix up the rest (hopefully) tomorrow.

Wrt the ratios: epm actually says on their web site that while the base is 100% vg, the flavouring agents contain pg. this also helps to make it carto friendly.

That is interesting. I always read that statement as they're juice is super close to 100% Vg. Mayhaps it's actually closer to 90 or thereabouts.

Mattbott~ what are you using as your carrier base? Pg or Vg?

I'm doing my normal mix, 50/50 PG/VG (flavorings included as PG) at 18mg.

After a day of steeping, LBL #1 with 6% DK Type is pretty darn good. I'm still going to try the rest of my recipes though.

Sounds great! I gotta re up on my dk. I think I'm going to experiment with the m type pretty quickly too...
I'm looking forward to more feedback as we nail this one down!
