And I'm not going to say from where, but I heard rumors of pass-through capabilities. But, again, it's only a rumor at this point.

And now that the highly-touted VTR has come out, and literally dwarfs the EPM, in both size and weight, I completely retract all aforementioned negative impacts related to height-and-weight.

I still absolutely love these suckers. More now than when I first got them.

And I often see the word, "Unicorn" thrown about ECF. In all seriousness, I only consider this and Billet Boxes as truly fitting for such a word. There is truly NOTHING like it, once you've held and used it.

There is absolutely nothing I'd even consider trading for it. Not now, possibly not ever.

I've most fortunately been able to have my V1 EPM upgraded with the yet to be released V2 adjustable centre pin with delrin insulator. Now it doesn't matter how tight I screw down my tanks, there's no silicone insulator to wear through. Can't wait for the V2 in the new year, rumours of 25 watts, sub ohm capabilities and pass through function have got me just a tad excited.

I'll be on it too, Adam, thanks. In my case it's simply & strictly for the pass-through option.

Regarding the insulator, that's nice to know, but I've been unable to identify any weak links so far. You've had yours longer so you would definitely know better than me. But usually if something can be broken, I'll find it QUICKLY. And 99 times out of 100, I'll "find" it by breaking it. ;)

So if it's truly a "weak link", it's a fairly durable one at that.

You and me BOTH, SUCKITIN!

Actually, both of mine are currently swimming their way back to your shores now. All is well with them but they were homesick, so I'm sending them in for a tune-up, while anticipating my V2.

I MISS THEM TOO (lemme tell ya)!!!

That's actually a really good idea (the compressed air), thanks!

I'm having the new top caps put on (like Robray had done). And I wanted to get them there before he started working on the new batch, which looks to be within a couple-few weeks. So I sucked it up (no pun intended) and decided it was worth the sacrifice to send them both at the same time (OUCH!).

Part of my reasoning was that my little guy (18490) already has a new home identified, when I get the new v2 (also 18490). I wanted to get it in tip-top shape before sending it to its new family, so I asked Eric if he had any suggestions. He suggested replacing the cap in the interest of longevity, which I (obviously) thought was a brilliant idea.

The 18650 is staying with me. That baby is TOO awesome to part with, and I'll still have use for something that will last me an entire day, when I need it. It's the only thing in my arsenal that I can truly say that about.

I knew I'd become attached to the little suckers, but I didn't realize exactly how much until they were gone from view. Patience, when it comes to vape-ware, is simply not one of my virtues. I'm getting along with my other offerings, but I will certainly welcome them home with open arms. :D

The new adjustable centre pin with the delrin insulator is fantastic. If there was ever a knock on the V1, it was that the centre pin wasn't adjustable and the silicone insulator may wear out over time. Both of these issues have been fixed with the V2, plus adding a pass through function and more power. Can't wait for the V2. Very nice upgrade to have DP :)

Yeah, Adam, I remember your post on it too. As far as I know, you two are part of a small group that have had it changed. I was hesitant to drop any work on him, especially now (with the V2 list growing daily), but he said he could do it, so I had to take up the offer. I'm quite happy! :)

And when V2 does arrive, I think it's going to be going with me EVERYWHERE (now that it has pass through). On THAT I'm VERY excited.

Do you do the compressed air thing too?

Oh! And it looks like they swam safely to shore just about 4 hours ago. They're probably still a couple or few days from home, but at least they people are speaking their language again. I'm sure they're happy about that. They HATE Walmart, by the way. I can't even drive past one if either or them are in the car ;)

Nah, I don't do the compressed air, just keep the 510 clean and that's it for me. I opened one up once just for a bit of a look, the battery pack will be easy to change when required, just unplug the old one and plug in the new one.

Yessir. I went in and looked after an earlier exchange we had. He definitely made them user-friendly. Even I could figure it out, and that says a lot.

I have to clean mine out regularly they fill up with saw dust and dirt and crap the fire button starts to get a bit crunchy
Its amazing how much crap gets in the small hole in the bottom and past the switch on the top
I am a born wrecker and haven't destroyed one of these yet.

You and me both. I kill EVERYTHING. I had an anvil once, but I broke it. ;-)

These things are not what I'd call "delicate". Not even close (thankfully).

Hmmm. And this just in about the power settings for the new V2 units. So much for 30, I guess?

>

The range will be between 6-34 watts. This will be split into two different modes, standard wattage mode (6-20 watts) and high wattage mode (20-34 watts)

If i wasn't excited before (which I was), I'm now officially excited. 6-34 watts, pass through capable and adjustable delrin insulated centre pin are all fantastic upgrades for the V2. This thing is going to be frikkin awesome :)

Well, I was excited already, somewhat because both of mine have been down-under since Jan 6th. According to tracking, they should be home this coming Tuesday or Wednesday. The L'il guy will be making a trip out west, shortly after coming home, and I'll keep Biggie on in full motion until my L'il V2 arrives, whenever that day comes.

And I think you're correct, Adam, "frikkin awesome" sounds about right to me. :toast:
