I really love rayon for wicking. It lasts longer than cotton and I can always taste cotton, no matter if it's broken in or not.

The erls definitely have better flavor than a Kayfun. I vape for flavor, and they're my absolute favorite followed by the Rose v2.
How many tank fills can you get with the same wick?

I rewick my Erl and my Kayfun weekly....first time you wick will be an adventure....second time it becomes routine and third time you'll see your mistakes as you make them.

I run 6 wraps 28 ga on 3mm spaced....Great flavor and vape. Its not a cloud chaser but its a good solid all day tank that requires no fiddling....

I have 2 juices that I vape the most. The first one I can get a good 50 ml before needing to wick, but it's a very light juice. The second one is more of a gunker and needs to be rewicked at least once a week. But if I were using cotton, it would be a much shorter period of time for both juices.

I use 2 liquids that I use in 2 RTS's. Every night I switch. Both my liquids are 100% PG that are not gunky at all. I get over 20 refills with them. In my KF4's I mostly use Silica/Ekowool using 3 3mm pieces wrapped with 30g kanthal. I will most likely use Rayon in the Erl's. Just have to figure out what size to make the coil. Don't know when the Erls will get here but I can't wait to try them.

I imagine that silica would outlast just about any other wick. I'm thinking that Qorax did do some wicking pictures for silica in that long Erlkonigin thread. It's just hard to find things now. Several months ago when they changed the forum software, it messed up all the links he had in his first post.

For coils, I've been mainly using 29 or 30 gauge wrapped on a 2.5 mm drill bit. I'm usually in the 1.5 ohm to 2 ohm range. But I'm definitely a tootle puffer. :D

I vape like I smoked. I don't do clouds and I love a good Tobacco flavor. I have tried at least 100 different tobacco flavors and only like the 2 that I have been vaping for almost 5 years. Can't figure that out.

No clouds here either, and I like a good tobacco flavor. I have 14 mods here that I vape on all day, and they each have a different flavor loaded. I just can't vape the same thing all day. If you have just a couple that you like well enough to vape on, ain't nothin wrong with that. Keeps it easier. :)
