All that's true... BUT! Once it's "on the web".. it's HTML. Because that's the language the web speaks -- even php and Javascript and ASP.NET pages EVENTUALLY render out to HTML. There are all sorts of workarounds, as you mentioned... the %20 and the non-breaking space and, as here, using white as the font color to hide characters... but two regular ol ordinary spaces, just on their own, will NEVER be rendered by HTML.

As you can see by Longo's post, without the spaces, the entire sheet gets posted.
I know, I know..... someone once DID show me how to post a link so that it stayed a link, rather than the full monty of spreadsheets, but hell if I can remember the how-to!
