Ingesting zinc can be harmful, but without any in the diet, a person gets quite ill.
A toxin is only a poison because of dosage. I cannot imagine the amount of juice that would have to be inhaled to come close to receiving harmful effects from a minor component of a mix like ethanol.
I suppose it's a reflection of our current culture that the chemical and not the dosage is the primary concern.
