Hi there & welcome! My cat hated it when I was on the stinkies too! She'd run into the other room when I was smoking. Now when I vape she just sits there like she's enjoying it. Took her & the dog to the pet spa after I knew I'd never smoke another stinky! They go pretty regularly but I figured if I get to smell good right away then they shouldn't have to wait either!

Welcome and congrats for cutting back on the stinkies. Try putting the cigs in an inconvenient place and when you want one, go get one and one only. Make this place as far away from where you usually smoke as possible. If you get the urge to smoke another you are going to have to walk all the way back to get another. I hope this helps.

I have read that its either poisonous or just bad to vape in front of pets, especially cats, so try not to vape around them.
Not picking on you Guppy, just using your post as a starting point. I like your avatar. :)

This has been blown out of proportion. Lets not forget the details. The smoke coming off of as cigarette was much worse for kitty and us.

If a cat eats large quantities of PG it can cause the formation of Heinz bodies in the blood.
Eating large quantities of onions can cause the same thing in cats. You wouldn't worry about eating a salad in front of your cat would you?

It is similar to saying carbon monoxide can kill you so don't go near a car that is running.

That's what I did and it has helped a bunch. I spent the whole rainy cold Sunday tinkering in my workshop and didn't have one cigarette. I have found another bonus with vaping. I have been pretty figity since I started trying to quit and the vaping gives me something to tinker with (filling cartos, repairing leaky T3 coils, etc...). I even made a spinner attachment for my drill for filling cartos....seems to work pretty good. I also made it cig free yesterday while putting together a gazebo on the patio. Normally, when putting something together, I would do a step...smoke a cigarette....do a step...smoke a cigarette...and so on. Thanks for the suggestion!
