I have a lavatube and an inferno. I have tried several different types of carts. Currently using a tank with CE2 Style Tank Replacement Dual Coil Cartomizers, 1.5 Ohms, Dual Hole

I usually run it from 3.3v to 3.6v. I have no idea if that is the correct voltage. Everything I have tried I get a burnt taste after a few hours to a few days. I keep my tank at least half full and have started dripping one drop directly in the cart every now and then without success.

Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

EDIT: Forgot to add I use volcano ejuice

Try some single coil cartomizers- see if you have better luck with them. You might like the 1.7 carto or 2.0.

Make sure your cartomizer is filled completely before putting it in the tank. Tanks with the screw in the side- when they get dry, just remove the screw and inhale a few times- it helps fill the carto. Not sure how the others work when they get dry.

Welcome , but you don't mention what juice your using . If the juice is mostly VG , it won't wick as well as it should , Thus , burnt taste . I personally don't care for DCT's and now mostly use the Vivi-Nova's , and some rebuildables ( Penelope and Ody ) As I use a higher VG content , I get some dry hits ( burnt ) every now and then . After adding some PG to my DIY juices , that has gone down , quite abit . The voltage your using is low enought , not to be the problem . So mainly look at your juice . Good luck.

Are you letting the cartos sit for a half hour or so after you fill them for the first time? They need some time for the e-liquid to permeate the filling and reach the coil. And if you're using high-VG (anything over 40-50%) e-liquid, then you have to let them sit for a couple of hours before inserting in the carto tank and vaping.

Cartos, once scorched, never recover. They have to be tossed.

Well I am not sure about that. I run 100% VG through the same cartos and they work great no burning. Are you getting the burning just on the Lava tube?
