Every time I use my 801 I hate it a little more

I am only two weeks into vaping, but I'm pretty sure the 801 isnt for me. Too much work to optimize it.i've been toying with Blue Foam mod for most of the last week and still havnt gotten it right. Its disheartening. So I'd like to know if any of you have any suggestions on a PV with less work to have it run like a charm. I'm not against moding, i'd just like something that I don't have to find some magical sweet spot in the cart to make it great.

Edit: I should add I do love it for dripping, but I don't like to hassle with that at work, and my work breaks is where I do the majority of my vaping. I'd like something I can fill up and last all day, hopefully the battery too as some days the stock 801 battery I have doesn't quite make it.

If your not concerned with it looking like a cigarette you could get an eGo or riva, I have the ego mega & I can go all day on 1 battery & at most 2 carts (if I'm vaping heavily) if you want a smaller size with decent battery life try the 808 & maybe an XL battery. A good way to gauge expected battery life is to look at it's MaH, generally speaking you should get about 1 hour per 100mah.

I agree with the op, do yourself a favor and get a 510. You can buy the adapter to connect a 510 atty to your batts or you can by a riva kit. I too started with 801's and towards the end hated it big time. I used a friends 510 passthrough and was sold. Bought a riva kit last august and the batts just crapped out due to stupid lr atties. killed 5 riva batts in less than one month. I am still ...... just saying it now. Anyways good luck.

I started with an 801 and hated the drippy mess and constant effort.I switched to an XL 808 and didnt have anymore issues.I get mine from Vapor4Life,they have a ton of flavors and Batt choices and its just a matter of topping off the carto now and then.I use a drip tip so I can just pop it off and add a few drops to fill it up.Much easier.

After a year of trying this and that, I'd recommend the Ego-T tank system. You can quickly fill two or three carts from the same syringe, pop the cap on the end, and put them in a zip lock bag with an extra battery or two and be good work a long day at work. You can see through the mouthpiece to check the level in the cart you are vaping before you go out for break.

You don't have to mess with polyfill, blue foam, or cartos (which are also an option) and the taste and vapor is right up there with dripping.

The tank system scares me as I have seen a lot of reports on poor quality control of them. You shouldn't be able to pick up three of the same product and have three different wick/bridge heights(I believe that was the name of them). As well as flooding/drying issues. It comes off to me like what I have now but a more substantial juice loss when it malfunctions.

Don't get me wrong, the idea of it would be perfect, but the imperfections I've seen people speak of make it seem like it might be worth waiting until that gets fixed to look into that system.

Don't let the Tank scare you too much, it's a pretty robust system. I would have suggested a KR8 kit with a PCC. Carry two batts, never a shortage of battery, and spare cartos. No fuss, no muss. But it sounds like the cartos turn you off. In that case I would suggest a standard 510 with a PCC. The PCC is the solution if you do not want to go to a big batt. You always have one you are vaping and a fresh batt in waiting. Once you run down one batt, just switch batts and you are automatically recharging your spent battery. You can also use a big batt with all the 510 stuff.
The only problem is the cartos don't last a long time. That's where the tank works nicely.

I hate 801's also, if you decide to stay with the penstyle try either a RN4072 if you like regular attys or a low resistance Joye 302 if you like LR attys. Many also like BE 112's but I like the first two way better. The LR Joye 302 is nice because it produces alot of vapor easily like a LR but the flavor comes thru like a regular atty and it doesn't have to have the cartridge refilled every few puffs like most other LR attys. I get mine cheaply at Health Cabin.
