Everyone Does It

So I'm looking for help on an ecig. We can start with my smoking habits, I've been smoking for about 2 years, started smoking a pack every 4 or 5 days, in college last semester I was smoking a pack a day for a while, not I'm at about a pack every 3 days or so. I enjoy the cigs I smoke, so I need an ecig that feels like a real cig.

I've smoked a few different type of ecigs, I've tried the blu, which was very good. I've tried a $50 ecig from the mall, I've tried the ....ty $20 ecigs, and a couple of expensive ones that I can't remember the brand of. I like the expensive ones way more, as they related to the smoking of a cigarette much more closely, but I don't know if I want to drop that much cash.

I want to spend around $50, if the increase in quality is really much better for another $20 I'd do it. I'm just looking for a good battery life, and an ecig that produces thick smoke and tastes like a real cig. Also, the ecig me and my buddy used for a while took drops into the filter instead of a new filter each time, which I found very efficient and good for the money. If theres a $50 ecig that feels like a real cig, takes drops, produces thick smoke, and has a good battery life, thats what I'm looking for.

There are NO cig sized units that can actually stand the test of time. The Volt is as good as it gets in this area but is still underpowered to actually handle real vaping. We all start with wanting one cig sized - and we all lost the money when we quickly graduated to something with decent performance. Not being argumentative - just trying to save you money...

You won't be smoking. Why does it need to look like a cigarette?? That just keyholes you into a position of possible suspicion of breaking an anti-smoking ban.

While these devices are considered by the mainstream as e-cigs, you'll find that alot of us refer to them as "Personal Vaporizer". This deters anyone from even associating them with the stinkies.

Sorry to derail the thread.

I'd go with a eGo for the benefit of battery life.

I've been using a Joye 510 from cignot.com, they have some alright flavors I haven't tried too many. I bought a plain tobacco that I like and a Black Tea that I'm enjoying. They have a starter kit for this unit that's $35 and comes with: 2 batteries, 2 atomizers, 5 cartridges and a charger. This is the ecig I started with a few years ago when I was a freshman in college and it's the one I'm still using. The prices at cignot are reasonable and their customer support and shipping teams are awesome.

I've tried the blu, which was very good.
If you were happy with the Blu then you'll prolly want to get the Volt- the best "cig sized" PV available. My preference would be the Kgo as it's a true 3.7 volt PV and opens up a whole new world of vaping cuz you can use all sorts of cartos, etc with it. It also has great batt life.
Also, the ecig me and my buddy used for a while took drops into the filter instead of a new filter each time, which I found very efficient and good for the money.
There are many delivery systems out there- clearomizers, cartomizers, cartomizers with tanks, etc and you can fill your own so the days of dripping are long gone. If you decide to add on a tank/ carto or clearomizer performance will be enhanced greatly but the "cig look" will suffer. I use a tank with carto and refill twice per day. My carto lasts 2 weeks with a tank.
Good Luck.

I went to the 510; and love it. I got the LR carts; and there is no going back. I started with the Colibri; and it was a total disaster. The concept of a non industry thread; is going to mean your stuck with something from one site; i also had a bad experience with the carts the unit used.- it was just a terrible experience. When I found the 510; I was in heaven. I also got the carts for it; thinking it would be like the disastrous colibir ones; that use a 40 thread; so it was just bad.

I say go standard; you won't go wrong. The EGO looks great; it would be next one, if I switched; which I won't be anytime soon, as I love my 510.

I know everyone recommends the Kgo with the 1100 mah battery, but I'm very happy with my Riva 650 mah battery. A friend at work got the Kgo 1100 mah and looking at them side to side, the size of the Kgo seemed inconvenient in comparison. The 650 mah already lasts the whole work day for me, so I didn't see any need for a 1100 mah personally.

Just my experience.

Kgo and Riva are identical PVs. Kgo also comes in 650 mah but most choose the larger batt size. As long as it's keeping you off the stinkies it's all good. But yes if size is a concern then definitely the 650 Riva/ Kgo or Volt.
