Everyone refers to a technical type of ecig - how to relate to market products?

Hello,
I started using Smoke Stiks a few weeks ago. I joined this forum today and I see that everybody refers to their ecigs with what appears to be a generic model designation, such as 501, 801 etc. Can someone tell me what the smoke stiks correspond to? Or perhaps they are not a standard?

If you read that thread, you'll see the Vendor claims they're propitiatory, but the users in the thread were able to source and use super mini hardware with their smokestiks

or as one of the posters say 'theyre telling porkies' XD

Pretty much the same thing you refer to when you call it a "Smoke Stick". Those numbers correspond to various models, etc. They are just a different kind of e-cigs with different features, etc.
