Sooooo... Dripping is kind of getting annoying. I blow super cumulonimbus clouds and all but refilling every 5 drags? It's really starting to be a DRAG.

So I want to try out some Genesis Style attys. So please if you could contribute on what I need to know that would be great for my transition adventure. (Safety, do's and dont's)

My questions:
What do you think is the best performing Genesis Style atty under 70$

Are all Genesis Style attys juice whores?

Why does the mesh grit matter? i.e. 350 mesh 400 mesh. And which is best to use?

Flat Kanthal or Regular AWG Kanthal?

What's the best combo? (Grit, wire size, wraps, coils)

Thanks in advance.

I would get and AGA t2 to start with and yes they suck down the juice fast! The mesh matters because of the thickness of the juice. I use standard Kanthal A1 wire 28g or 32g depending on mod that Im using. The best combo is the one that works best for you, you will need to experiment and see what works for you... Everyone has their own style

In order of my personal preference: UD AGI, AGA-T2, Smok RSST.

Are all Genesis Style attys juice whores?

Not unless you run them sub-ohm.

Why does the mesh grit matter? i.e. 350 mesh 400 mesh. And which is best to use?

Finer mesh = better wicking via capillary action. Some people report better performance with high-VG juices using 325 or even 270. My experience is that 500 works well with everything, so I use it exclusively.

Flat Kanthal or Regular AWG Kanthal?

I haven't tried the flat yet, mainly because I've got tons of round waiting to be used. Ribbon Kanthal offers wider surface area contact with the wicking material, which results in more vapor. I get plenty of vapor with my round Kanthal, so I'm good. Try both!

This is part of the learning curve of the ubiquitous genny, and many people prefer many different setups. Experiment to find what you like the most. I generally prefer a 3/4 wrap of 30GA Kanthal on a solid SS #500 wick to hit around .8 ohms on my mechs. I would not suggest going below 1.5 ohms for your first several builds, so stick with 32GA 3/4 or 4/5 wraps depending on the thickness of your wick. You really want to get a good feel for predicting and correcting potential hotspots and shorts before you wrap below an ohm. Even if you wrap your RDA's sub-ohm, genny's are a whole different ballgame. I can not stress the importance of this enough. Start at the start, and you'll be loving that genesis in no time!

The best Genesis to start on is the Smoktech RSST. It has an insulated wick hole, so you don't have to oxidize your wicks, and the positive post has a nice spring in it to capture your wire. I use 32 GA Kanthal with 500 SS Mesh, and I have only had to replace the wick once in 2 months, and I have had to replace my coils 3 times, mainly because I was trying to dry burn to swap flavors, and I heated the coil too long, and did not blow on it. My RSST Sits on my provari, and will find its permanent home on my Shan Mod Gadget Dual 18650 DNA 20 Mod as soon as she is done with it, so I can play with the Sub Ohm Coils (no less than .6, and I will make sure it goes into regulated mode by cranking up the watts), in a safe manner. My 3 ml tank lasts me 2 to 3 days on average, but most of that time is spent at work where I vape periodically, versus the weekends where you cannot separate me and my provari. So it is average (I feel that Cartomizers suck up way more juice. That is just me.)

I'll write small as this is some-what off topic, but have you considered a liquid feed bottom-feeder? It's like dripping upside down but with a 9ml bottle of juice on board

Carry on.
