I have seen quite a few posts in the past about the Evic failing with the slightest of drops. I can say from experience that my particular device can take a beating. I have dropped it out of the cab of a Semi truck (twice) and it may have gotten a little uglier, but it fired right up no problem. It's my first mod and I'm quite satisfied. Been lurking for awhile and just wanted to get in my two cents.

I've had zero problems with mine and yes, I've had a couple of minor drops. As with any electronic device, you should be careful with it; it's not made to tossed around so if it gets dropped and lands just right, sure, it may just break. That doesn't mean it's a bad device or that it won't last with proper care. IMHO ...

Glad to hear some positive stories. I have seen the busted eVic pics and do understand how it can pop apart from an angled impact with enough side force.
I also have a case of clumsiness. Getting arthritis in both hands pretty bad and constantly knocking mine over just reaching for it. I've even sent it sailing a few times and so far no damage.
I do hope eVic is continued and even upgraded. We need more quality devices available to Vapors. Provari owners consider it the Flagship and from all reports I would concur. However, a Flagship still needs a fleet. I personally feel eVic is the logical next in line and no one company could possibly be expected to supply all Vapors.

The broken evic claims represent a small percentage of owners. I have had no issues, amd I am clumsy to say the least. It may not be made of super think aluminum like some others, but I like its light weight. It doesn't feel like I am carrying around a power drill. I think it was Joyethech's design to balance lightweight/durability with this mod. In the last months they have tweaked the control head design as well to incorporate an extra screw and epoxy on the top rim. Definately my favorite mod. I have a feeling the evic will be around a long time. Vape Happy:)

So for the evic, many many many people drop their evics a lot, they still fire up but the head cap just comes right off. I see it all the time and it's just insane e. Many people have gone so far as to use jb weld on it. And I do t mean a dab of it, it's almost as if the literally dipped the whole thing in jb weld. It work, but it looks like Frankenstein. Whatever works for ya

I just dropped mine for the first time a few days ago... Top of the control head separated but since the wires were fine I just pushed it back in... Still works just fine! I haven't used it much lately though - a single charge lasts me a week right now since I mostly use it for the ohm meter to build coils for the mech mods
