Hi there! New here. Just got an eVic and I'm pretty happy with it!

I noticed it has some modes called MVR VV and MVR VW.

Not sure how the MVR system works exactly.

Any kind soul out there that can gimme a run down?

I understand it allows to make profiles??? Not fully on board with this.

Appreciate the help! Thank you.

P.S. I did search the board, however I didn't find anything that I really understood. Maybe im dumb?

Basically these allow you to control the heat of the coil, over time.

On each of the rows in the wattage profile (RVW), the top number is the temperature, and the bottom number is the 'count' (between 0-10 seconds, in .1 second increments).

So, for instance, if you had 8W in the top spot, and 1 second in the bottom, the first second of the vape would be at 8 watts. Then just fill in the temperature in the next spot, and select the count again, remembering this count is the placement along that 10-second count.

If you select 2 seconds, then you're setting the temperature for that 2nd second of the count, etc.
The little bar graph at the bottom of the MVR window will illustrate what I'm saying as you construct the profile.

The two profiles I'm currently using are pretty basic. They're both fairly low-temp, but I'm liking their performance.

First cool preset:
1-second warm-up burn at 6.7W, and then alternates between 3.7W and 4.7W every second. This seems to work well for fruits and berry flavors. I also have a caramel coffee flavor that vapes nicely on this setting.

Second warmer preset:
1-second warm-up burn at 8.5W, then alternates between 4.2W and 5.7W every second. I use this for my tobaccos, since it's a bit warmer vape and gives it a bit more bite.

I'm not sure what a vaping veteran would think of this system, but so far it seems to be giving me better-tasting vapor than straight wattage in my Protanks. YMMV.

Hope that helps.

Welcome , the MVR modes , are for you to maintain a record of your vaping . Never really used it , on mine . Just set t on VW , and left it . Only time I ever used anything MVR related , had to do with updating the firmware . But if your curious , you can set it for MVR VV , or VW , and connect your device to your computer . There Should be some sort of record , of your usage . Kinda worthless , really . Good Luck

Okay, thank you for the replies!

Seems like it basically records your usage stats and also allows for some profiles that adjust the wattage as you puff.

Are there any tried and true profiles out there? Or is this something I can only figure out by testing?

I mean, am I supposed to just put random wattages in there or is there some kind of pattern to follow?

@fido thank you for sharing your profile setup. helps me get an idea!

Again, thanks for the help!

I just got my evic today and figured this out also. Its pretty awesome from a newbie to the vv vw scene. I need to rebuild my vivi nova tank first as i am getting mixed results right now. A lot of burning at the end of draws or lack of vapor on many settings. I really enjoy the pass through mode and already popped a CVI 18350 tube on this thing. finding the 18350 is a good match for what i need.

I have tried a steady increase decrease setting at half second increments from 8.1 - 8.3 and that is doing well on my 2.8 atty. I am really just starting to find the info to get the sweet spots myself. maybe a different tank system? i really like to get good throat hits or I find i keep taking more vapes

Nice! I've been using VW mode so far.

So you're going .5 second at 8.1 then .5 sec at 8.2 then .5 to 8.3 and then back down again?

Appreciate the nfo!
