I have no doubt that the MVR VW and MVR VW modes are to compete with the Janty MID. I haven't played with it yet (voltage/wattage profiles) but I'm sure I will tonight. I'm with everyone else with the statement that I'll be sticking to manual mode. All in all it is a very solid update that certainly adds value to the unit IMHO.

Seeing the puff counter go and replaced with more useful info such as wattage and resistance on the home screen was the most sought-after change for me.

Overall a great firmware upgrade.

Same here. It was kinda cool seeing how many puffs left till it's dead, but that's what the battery indicator is for.. I didn't even notice the ºF option... time to delve further!!!

Spread the word to all that ask. It was certainly worth the wait! After smoking all those years, I've got NO DESIRE to go back to them (after only 3 weeks.) Between the eVic, and my Segelei Zmax I'm as happy as can be.

And, on another note. Found Phil Busardo's review (YouTube) on Heather's Heavenly vape's Juices today. He's a real hoot to watch! Lol!! I've probably watched 20 of his videos.. very entertaining to say the least.

Anyway, placed an order from HHV. Can't wait! Looks like there's a real cult following here for "Gandolf." http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...venly-vapes-top-quality-custom-e-liquids.html

I didn't order that... probably should have. Oh well, still looking forward to some new juice for the Mod's. :thumb:

Enjoy,
Jim

Hi all, about the auto mode... I set it to 3 seconds and yep, you press the button for one second and it will keep it going till 3 seconds... but if you press it for , lets say, 5 seconds it will keep going for THOSE five seconds, and five seconds only. (meaning it won't keep going for an other 3 seconds after you release the button)

Really like the quick exit now... :)

The auto mode may be interesting when driving or doing something that requires more attention elsewhere.....if anything, this eVic is providing options & choices, I like that very much.:)

any tips to install on a Mac? tried using Wine, but MVR counldnt see device

Well that could be your problem right there. Drinking wine while you install the software cant hurt but using wine to install software promises to leave a mess lol. Sorry couldn't resist. In all seriousness as others have said dual booting with a virtual pc client is most likely gonna be your only option. iirc when I had a Mac Book it was pretty easy to do if you purchase the software. Would be nice to see a Mac and Android version of MVR come out.

All the new features are great news...and they kept their promiss (January).
Also see they added EXPORT, not that I care now...but someday....

Love that the default is Exit, smoother operation now.

See that they are activily seeking suggestions on the MRV home screen,
believe that they do want to continue improvment !

Did anyone notice that in the pictures on the PDF instructions that the demo models appear to be all chrome ???

Great Update Joye- Keep it coming.

Just did my windows install, MVR install, and firmware upgrade. Good to go, digging the new home screen quite a bit! Being a fiddler, I am always calculating my voltage when vaping with VW, now its done for me!

Might play with the variable voltage throughout the vape.. that feature intrigued me with the Mid. I often find myself firing for about a second before I start to vape.

alright, I updated my evic and mvr found my device...disconnected it and set my evic up they way I want it. Was about to mess with the mvr vw mode and I connected my evic to my laptop and its not finding my device. I tried uninstalling the mvr 1.2, and putting back mvr 1.0 and still can't find my device. uninstalled mvr 1.0 and reinstalled mvr 1.2. Still can't find my device. Using windows 7...any ideas how i can get this recognized by my system again?
