Evic v. Lavatube

Based on the different, sometimes, useless features of the evic to the simplicity and the durability of the lavatube id really like to make a a choice on which VV mod to get. I spoke to a lot of people that have been entwined in the VV community for a long time and the majority say that it's really based on personal preference, but im still a little apprehensive as to which mod I should get. I'd like to discuss it with all of you and take in your personal choice whether based soley upon research or based upon first hand experience.

I can't give you my experience on the Evic as I haven't owned one, however I can tell you my experience with the LT 2.

Simply put, I like it.
I've used it since it released earlier this year, and originally using normal tank, then switched to BOGE 2.0 carts, I liked those alot.
Recently I made the purchase on the ProTank 2 and it's been just ok, i'm finding myself using more juice, replacing the coils often and cleaning more than seems necessary, but for some reason I keep using it, but now we're getting into my tank experience, not the LT 2.

I like the readings it gives etc, the only drawback is its big... and heavy... and big.
That being said I tend to keep it in my car or at home, I like the solid heavy feel as much as I dislike it when moving.
When at work where I am on the go, walking around, etc. I use my Vision spinner(same as ego twist) with a mini-protank, which on a side note I LOVE with my spinner(twist) lol.

Hope that helps :)

Same boat as you, just been doing homework before settling but I really like the internal charging for units like the evic and mvp.

Plenty of things to fiddle with on the delivery end and not having a separate charger to schlep around seems like a bonus. With the evic you have the option of an external or internal charging and even multiple or upgradeable batteries if the need arises. Pretty sure mvp is fixed internal battery though.

That said, if the right deal for an evic comes along I'd be tempted to jump on it but I'm in no hurry.

eVic is like the iPhone of MODs. lavatube is great, but subpar to the eVic in features, & more like a higher end Vamo.

eVic features are not useless if you know how to use them . . . like knowing how many puffs your BCC or Cartotank will last you when out for the day

or how many puffs a given battery will last.

its warning of a nicotine headache set to the programs you create - which is certain to happen unlike a cigarette

how you can layer graphs online to see your habits in vaping (i.e. compare being @ a party vaping as to home use or when around non-vapers, etc.)

it also helps you learn/ understand volts as compared to watts much better than any device out there

looks maturely exotic to non-vapers & always brings conversation

quality in looks

has countless upgrade body options instead of being stuck with just one - comes in very handy when getting scratched up & knowing you're only $11 away from an entirely new body

helps to not have to buy a battery charger as it can charge in its own casing & saves you money

you can use it as a pass thru device while driving without wearing out your battery

sheit, I can go on forever.

even over the Provari, I choose eVic without hesitation as it doesn't even offer all of these electronic options, can't be used as a pass-thru, need to buy batteries separate, ALL SINGLE BUTTON ACTIVATION when scrolling through menus, & is almost 3x's the price because there was nothing like it when originally developed.

Thanks folk. I'm getting paid next week and I'll probably stick with my first choice and go with the evic. It seems like everyone on all of the other forums prefer the evic over any version of the lavatube. Im also going to an RBA/General Ecig mod workshop this weekend where I'll be learning how to properly build coils and the dangers of blowing my face off, also amp limits and whatnot. The replies helped a lot.

I have had an evic for a month now and love it. I purchased the black one. I also just bought 2 more tube kits one in white and one in chrome. When paired with my protank 2 it is a beast. The only other mod that catches my eye is the provari. I will be getting the mini one soon. I went to a vapor store in Scottsdale that sells both the lava tube and the eVic. The guy there recommends against purchasing the lava tube pretty much told me I couldn't buy it because how crappy it is lol.

Hey man, did you go to the E-cig workshop that the AZ vapeclub was doing? i wanted to go last saturday but it was on bell 40 minutes away from me. Igetcha69 does a sick tute on youtube about gold-platting the bottom and top endcaps of his regular provari. I want a provari but I think theyre a little bit too overrated for their price. I prefer to get a full mech chi or a hybrid where i can mesh with mesh coils and wrapping. i just want a sub ohm setup that i can drip for cloud porn. Vapehappy on instagram does a lot of sub ohm wrapping too. he blows clouds like a fracking dragon. It's ungodly how big his drip holes are and how low his ohm measurement is.
