Bad idea. There is no 18650 that can handle that high a wattage.

I don't even like breaking 50 watts on my mini due to battery life, get the Cuboid if you want a VTC with more power

so how common are screen problems with the evic vtc mini? I have received two so far that were having the exact same problem (the first one I ordered, the warranty replacement, the 3rd one is good so far)
This pops up when the unit is powered OFF when I first click it to power it on, it also appears in smaller version when the unit was powered ON for just a brief moment just before the screen pixelates and does this....
I really love my working one and would like to buy more but I am concerned about this issue. I have seen a few other videos on the web with their units doing the exact same thing as the two of mine did.

I've been trying to make up my mind about getting 3 cheaper TC mods. I only use Ti at .27ohms usually about 25w with the joyetech boards around 500F SXM at 420F. They both vape about the same but have been looking at VTC mini, IPV4s and 5 a little more expensive and no TCR adjustment, I have a Reauleux and works very well battery life is amazing do not use USB for charging there have been problems there and also thinking about the Cuboid. Any suggestions would be appreciated thinking of getting 3 and use them put my SXM's which I have 5 2 not used and 3 that have been using for 9 months best mod around IMO no longer available and not cheap anyway. The Cuboid sounds really good but no actual users yet. Stocking up for Vapocolypse.

No screen problem with mine.
I'm glad I was able to snag two second hand eVic mini's up for $12 each before 3.0 arrived. TC didn't work and the user's considered them useless, lol. Seems people are showing love for it again....

I think the impatient lost hope too quick, but to be fair Joytech has gone well beyond my expectations on the firmware support. It's also a win to the small shops that can still sell old stock of the kit for a minimal discount or open them up and update them for their customers.

I've read this entire thread and your post is the first I've seen complaining of the issue.

So I am assuming that because they have been warranty replacements that they have all come from the same vendor?
Have you attempted to update the FW on any of them? If so, did you note what HW and FW versions they were?
Not sure what version and I did not attempt to update the FW as this was happening right out of the box, I contacted the vendor and sent them back for replacement.
I did look around on the web for others experiencing this problem and ran across a few others with videos experiencing the exact same issue.
I have seen some posts on the internet where updating the FW has solved this issue. If it happens with this one, you might try that before sending it back. You can always go back to the FW it came with if it doesn't solve the issue if you are concerned they might not honor the warranty if they discover you upgraded it.
I don't believe it is a very widespread issue, as there have been a very small amount of posts about it.
Hope you don't experience it again with your current one.

was a very merry Xmas indeeed! I am enjoying my Evic Mini, Mom! <3 Love you! & the Kanger Subox Mini is in my hands right now! I probably wont get another mod until NEXT christmas, unless I go for one as my Bday gift, this April, but, hey... I think these two will last me til next X-mas, yeup... I think so!!

I got mine in the mail yesterday....a Christmas gift to myself. I love it. I was really surprised by how small it is! I've been using a ZNA clone for over a year as my go-to device, and decided I needed something different, in case I decide to delve into TC and maybe making coils. I still just use Nautilus tanks and coils for pretty much everything, at really low wattage.
I updated the firmware last night....went without a hitch. And I was proud of myself....I ordered a silver carbon fiber look wrap for it (I got the dark gray model) and didn't even fire up the thing until I had it all wrapped today when the wrap came in the mail this afternoon.

reminds me of my old large screen VS dna 40
they have battery covers on eBay for like $9....I'm very tempted to get one of the cyan ones to pop onto mine, just cuz I like that Tiffany-like blue!
