Outstanding. And a little outrageous.
No it's not needed, though thinner wire used in high ohm builds might not hold up to high wattages. And at some point you'll reach the voltage limit of the device of course (9v for the Evic Mini I believe). However, tc wire is lower resistance so it'll be difficult to reach one ohm or higher.
Try a custom TCR setting of "0336" in one of the three "M" presets. That's the stream engine titanium TCR. I still use the built in Ti setting for some eliqiuds. The custom TCR keeps my Ti temps in the 470-480 range, as it's a bit hotter then whatever their TCR is set to. I leave my watts at 35 since it does NOT matter much, Ti reaches set temp at even less watts, more watts makes NO difference at all.
A "0700" custom TCR setting at approx 10 watts will allow for a low glow dry burn titanium wire, for testing and cleaning.
I found a tcr of .0100 with SS 316L works for me in both my mini and cuboid. Using subtanks and tfv4's.

Thanks much
Actually to be honest, I forgot all about v3.0 having a Manual TCR Profile... duh
Changed to TCR Mode, set the Presets (0335, 0345, & 0360), went to M2/0345, and it is performing even more to my liking. The SXMM is the same way. Vapes much better in Manual TCR Profile with the TCR set a tad higher than it does on actual Ti Mode.
Once more,,, An impressive little Device indeed.
Ok so im gonna thread jack just a little bitView attachment 524814 is anybody else as turned on by this as i am? Its a vtcmini powred squonk.
I want one. $200 is simply far too expensive for what it is. They must be doing small batch 3D printing. I'd happily pay $75 for one, which is more than twice what i paid for my VTC Mini Kit. But it needs to be mass produced to reach that price point. :-\
They are small batched , and since the guy cant buy just the boards he has to buy and tear down vtc minis for the parts. I imagine they would be cheaper if ( HEY JOYETECH ARE YOU LISTENING !!?!!) you could just buy the boards ( like evolv and yihi do) . Figure the evic is (give or take) 40$ , time to tear it down, parts for the squonker conversion, assembly. 150 €( a little more than 160$ US) aint bad. Considering a Reo costs that much and its a mech made here or building one like the Svapiamo yourself . If i had the scratch id be up for one. If he could buy just the boards theyd be less than 100$
Sorry for the typo, the stream engine Ti TCR should be: "0366"
I'm just coming in in the middle of this but the TCR for Ti01 is 366Thanks much

Maybe.I'm just coming in in the middle of this but the TCR for Ti01 is 366
The way that those values jump at 247C and again at 287C kinda indicate an error either in experimental results or in recording/transposing the data.Maybe.
The Ultimate TCR List
At 189°C (372°F) the TCR is 0.003686
At 221°C (430°F) the TCR is 0.003681
At 233°C (451°F) the TCR is 0.003672
At 247°C (476°F) the TCR is 0.003685
At 258°C (496°F) the TCR is 0.003667
At 270°C (518°F) the TCR is 0.003661
At 287°C (549°F) the TCR is 0.003669
At 301°C (574°F) the TCR is 0.003659
The average of all these values is .0036725. If you vape at 450°F (233°C), then your TCR will need to be .00367. If you vape at 500°F (260°C) or above, then the standard value of .00366 is best.
You should use the mode appropriate to the type of wire... which you failed to mention.
At 0.8 for a dual I'm guessing Kanthal or NiChrome so Power Mode, but let's make sure.
It is khanthal, and I didnt want to go anymore below .8 ohms since im new. Theres modes for nickel, stainless steel, and nickel but not kanthal so I wasnt sure.
