i've found my mini likes being re-set when going between m 1-3 or going to native ti mode. by reset i mean turning it off then on then screwing on the atomizer. ymmv

Yeah, I've done that, no difference here.

I have had good results with a custom titanium TCR of 0366 on the VTC MINI, then putting the same tank on my DNA200 with the same TCR, matching Vape just fine. Once I've gone through the included Cubis Stainlees coils, I won't be using SS again anyways. Since I did not know when the Cubis RBA's were coming out, I bought a few packs of their prebuilt Nickel coils, will test them next. The RBA's are available and I bought 3 of those, in one of those I built a vertical 3mm ID, 24 gauge Unkaman titanium 7 wrap at .22 ohms, that's what I tested on both VTC and DNA200 mods at the TCR I mentioned above, perfect results.

It's a long, long thread to go through, so I'll tell you... many of us are running our 316L well into the 120s. YMMV, but try it before you give up on SS.

The res drop/anemic vape is a separate, and unsolved issue... though it seems far rarer than a couple of updates ago.

But to be honest... others will have to go through that with you, I won't ride that merry-go-round again.

Thanks, I believe at one point before buying, I did read the whole thread. I've settled on titanium as my go to wire for many reasons, and for many other reasons I have not gotten into SS. As some have guessed the VTC MINIS SS316 setting may just be for their own coils, but certainly not what's considered the standard TCR of SS316. I do however get decent flavor using the included prebuilt .5 ohm SS coil, on the SS PRESET.

Anyone else noticed that if the vtc drops (and by drop i mean it's standing on the table and tips over, on the table), it's resistance remains the same but the infamous anemic vape kicks in? It takes a couple hours then until it stabilizes again. No biggie, just something I've noticed. If at that time i take the battery out and put it back in, the resistance shifted. That board really doesn't like to be shaken i guess

Just for grins (and the color match with the mod) I tried one of the "Tron" tanks out with a included TI coil. Considering the size of the atomizer (are we going backwards here? I think a Nautilus coil is larger) while I did have to crank the temperature up to 460F the vape was not half bad.

I resigned myself to wait/vape to see how long the factory coil would last. The tank did not get as much vape time as others in rotation as I had filled it with a desert juice that is not my everyday/all day type vape. The "Tron" performed ok for what it is until last night when my RBA order finally showed up.

I wrapped up and tossed in a 10wrap NiFe52/48 2.5mm contact coil and wicked with Silica resulting in 2x the vapor production at 390F. The RBA pushed this little inexpensive wonder into Subtank Mini-ish class of vaping! Not bad as I was considering round filing the little "Tron" tanks before this.

Since I have two and a pack of 5 RBA's I built up another RBA to go into its sister color matching tank and filled with one of my favorite juices. Again, I was pleasantly surprised at how well the little tank performed. :)

Sadly Joytech does not include the little RBA with these tanks however I'm rather amazed at how well the inexpensive/cheap little color matched tank can perform.

Tron tanks have an RBA? Thought they only used CL/CLR coils.

Since he said "a five pack of RBA", must be referring to the rebuilable CLR coil heads. I used them, a titanium build in my Tron tanks, but I've retired them in favor of the Cubis with its own RBA's. No leaking, better flavor IMHO.

My apologies for not reading the previous thousands of posts. I've been using a mini for the past several weeks as my daily driver and liking it. I have one concern. I can tighten down the atomizer until it is snug on the 510 connector but there remains a slight wobble. My guest is the 510 connector is floating, not rigidly attached to the mod but shows no sign that it's going to move out of position. Is this something I need to b concerned about? If so can I correct it myself?

Mine does the same slight "wobble" on some of my RTA's. The STM especially. Probably due to shallow Threading/510 Socket which bottoms out the Atty 510s before the Atty's Base snugs totally flush on the APV upper Body.
Doesn't do it with my Bellus Tanks which have shorter 510 Connectors in comparison to the STM and similarly designed (longer 510's) RTAs.

No "issues" as a result of that so I don't sweat it when such an Atty is loaded to it.

    Yep the 510 is shallow.
For my STMs I made a shim, from a water bottle cap.

If you are lazy like me, buy two packs of these, use them on all my mods, with no issues. Especially if you own a Vaporshark DNA200, most atties will wear off that rubber coating quickly.

Nice find and Solution Mac :thumb: Great idea for both Purposes.
    Just found these on ebay and pulled the Trigger;
Atomizer Mod Box Protector Rings For Vape Tank -Crown-Subtank-Kangertech-RDA-RBA
Set of 6 in different Colors for $3 incl. USPS.
Messaged Seller and said thickness is around 2.5-4 mm. Should do the trick nicely for the STM on Evic Mini and to protect the Snow Wolf 75 mini from scratches. Hopefully, won't be too thick for the Bellus on that SW 75m.

The "R" in CLR is "rebuildable" as in ReBuildableAtomizer.

As mentioned, while it is likely the smallest that I've ever used, build well it can deliver decent performance. I'm impressed.
(I picked up a 5pack of em from China)
