I'm running SS430 on my Mini
Ti mode at 220F and 30W - resistance locked at 0.15
2 strand twisted 28g dual coil on a TOBH rda

It's weird - when I first built it, the mini would bump out of TC mode immediately.
Fast forward a couple hours and now it's staying in TC and giving a very consistent vape.
It's to be noted that the resistance originally read 0.18 when bumping out of TC, but now reads 0.15 when holding in TC. Now the mod's holding solid at 0.15.
At 220F it's a cooler vape (which I prefer) but still with a lot of cloud and flavor production. I pretty sure there's more headroom in the temp setting, but like it where's it's at.

I'm really enjoying the clean flavor from the 430 - to me, the best out of Kanthal, Ni, and Ti. It's a PITA to work with though - very springy - twisting the wire in my drill almost had me kicking puppies. I keep coils for months though with cleaning and re-wicking, so worth the aggravation, imho.

Got a couple of Bellus tanks coming - can't wait to try out similar builds in them.

I test SS coil (SS 316 AWG 28) today on mesh wick in my favorite atomizer origen genesis MKII. Set the temperature in F instead C, because 100C was a bit hot. Adjust wattage to 25w and holly grall of vaping. Resistance is 0,45. I think must be higher resistance of SS wire avoid to bumping in TC on vtc mini

Update on Ti coil testing yesterday :)

Finally finished off vaping my Ti coiled tank and didn't experience any issues running in in Ti mode all day yesterday, so Im fairly confident that my Mini is working correctly in Temp Control mode in both Ti and Ni modes.

So after 2 days of testing different TC builds Im still not sold on the whole Temp Control thing. Dont get me wrong I like the principal of it but the vape quality and flavor just isnt for me compared to a nice Kanthal build, so its back to Kanthal and Power mode for me.

Overall its a great little mod, and now with 75w its a mini powerhouse. Still love the form factor and screen display so I will probably order another one in the near future.

Thanks for posting your result back. I've had no trouble with mine since the update or whatever black magic occurred and touch wood it will remain so. I've only used titanium as no nickel wire but to be honest I'm feeling the same as you. After a couple of refills in the mega and a few different dripper builds the positives don't come close to outweighing the messing around I've had to do so back to Kanthal for time being. I like the concept of the technology but it's not there yet as I just want to be screwing on an atty and vaping, not having to pray to the pagan gods and sacrifice a goat every time my resistance jumps. Until they actually start to read temperature and not use resistance based calculations it's a broken system imo. If the tcr curves loaded into these devices are linier as I've been told they are and the actual material properties have a non linier curve then this method will never achieve accuracy. In the mean time it is a nice little device that will serve a purpose. Looking forward to my nebox so I can b*@#ch and moan about a different company for a while lol.

So you are both saying you think it is working fine but you wont use it any more because it just doesn't push your buttons?

Yeah pretty much it's not the devices fault it's an imperfect science and all it needs is the wind to change direction or a little nano particle of dust to get between the atty and 510 pin and it throws all these really fine resistances off. I've just been watching Mr B dna200 vids and could it get anymore complicated! His analogy is spot on. When I smoked I made a roll up and set fire to it, when I vape (kanthal) I fill it up and press a button but with that s@#t I need a degree in particle flaming physics just to understand the software!

When they find a way of incorporating a temp sensor where the heat is generated then I will all over it.

Edit: sometimes us brits are rubbish at spotting humour!
