As you can see, there's been a clean up in Aisle 4. As a reminder to all: Forum Rules
there are times were sweeping all under the rug is the worst thing to do. My last deleted post was not inflammatory and said much about our community and what it is willing to accept.

Good to hear from you Zeus01. Tagged you a couple of times. You see what I developed for your effort. You have yours fixed so your are giving up on the good fight? Just want to be sure since you have obviously tried more than most and as such you have earned my respect. I'm sorry I wasn't aware of your efforts on the other thread on a real time basis. Respect!

I tried to develop something for your effort but never heard back. Pretty sure that since you have a solution, and have done so much you would like to retire from the effort. Understand.

Any recommendations for anyone willing to take up the reigns? Just want to hand off my contribution to the effort and can't find anyone worthy or even willing to fight the fight.

yup i saw the tags,,
but was out on family matters so only finding the time now still back reading thou :(

as for retiring the good fight probably.
cause no one else seems to want to do anything
aside from me
everyone else just rants.

if someone else is willing to do more,id be happy to help..

its ok,i mena not finding out,
i do take peoples advise with a gran of salt,if i see that is applicable and doable.i do it.

fighting joytech alone to have units, replacd or fixed even acknowledged,
done by one person always seem just like a fluke,..

And again I find myself returning to this thread after doing the work and offering the solution to people who are having issues with this mod only to find them complaining about a lack of support in fixing this issue. I demonstrated a method by which every user having an issue with this mod can document their reports to Joyetech and their lack of response which actually works and the only thing I asked is that someone else head up the effort because I have too many irons in the fire to maintain the data.

I'm begging for someone who is sincere about seeking a solution an following up by putting their proverbial money where their mouth is. I will provide the form and tracking spreadsheet and any help I can give in support but since my three mods are not affected this support will be limited. If you will not take the tools I am offering you as a group and put them into place to correct the customer support issue you are all having with Joyetech, as far as I am concerned Joyetech should not lift a finger to help you, simply because you are letting them get away with it.

I have been vilified in this thread for simply trying to help. I have offered the solution. Many have agreed it is the only solution that will work. Not one of you will accept the responsibility of doing the right thing for everyone that follows you.....

I don't know what else to say but, your own actions will dictate how long you all sit here whining about no solution yet and what crappy service Joyetech has while you simultaneously buy more of the very same units you are not satisfied with.

Am I Missing something here?

I have no patience for people who refuse to work to correct a situation they want to complain about!

Let me guess three more people have blocked my posts! God Bless you all and Happy Holidays!

PM me if any of you has the balls to proceed with this and I will gladly forward the data collection form and linked spreadsheet as well as detailed recommendations as to how to proceed.
Personally I dont have this mod yet - but in reading your post I needed to reply.

I dont think a customer should have to do anything other than send in a complaint. Taking time to collect data from other users and get a spreadsheet and follow up - is NOT the job of a consumer.

A consumer should expect it to work the way it is advertised - and if it doesnt - they should expect to send a message and for the company to follow it up, and if they dont, they have every right to ..... and moan - and decide to buy something else next time.

Getting a "scolding" from you that people aren't doing what they need to do - seems wrong to me. Just my two cents!

It should do what it's supposed to do and for the majority of its users it does.

But...

It's a £25/$40 device made by a Chinese company and therefore it's going to be a little bit of a crap shoot as to whether or not your device works as well as a device that costs over 4x as much.

You can't buy a Lada and expect Bugatti Veyron performance.

Ho hum.

I suppose the forum don't want any bad press about the evic vtc mini seeing as there giving away 250! Geez joyetech that desperate there giving them away now:D
Haha, I saw that and almost posted about it...seems like funny timing, after this thread and the threads on Joyetech's forums start to heat up, "Hey're we're giving away 200 of them!". Oh well.

To all potential buyers of the VTC mini...

The VTC mini is a great device. Great size, good build quality, fantastic screen. Does up to 75w in power mode and supports Ni Ti & SS.

TC works for some people out of the box.

TC may not work on certain firmwares but rectified on later firmwares, like me. My unit didn't do TC stably until firmware 1.3.

For others TC just doesn't work at all...even after firmware upgrades.

What I'm saying is that TC may or may not work right out of the box. That said, I'm sure there are more working units than defective units.

Should you get one? For the price, yeah. Even if TC is twitchy you have a 75w pocket rocket. But I don't think one should get it if it would be your main device...

Just be aware of the risk you're taking when you purchase. The device might not work fully as advertised and support might be sub par. If you're willing to take a risk, go ahead.

I did, got a working device in the end and I'm happy. I'm sure you would be too, but that's your risk to take.

I'm not saying this uncertainty of getting a working mod should be accepted. It is what it is. Just be aware before going in for the purchase and you won't be half as angry as the people on this thread.

Amen! Tpat591 has said that the people who have the TC problems are bitter and trashing the mod, trying to get noone else to buy them, etc. That's complete hogwash. You can go through the history and find me praising the device for what it does well, several times.

As long as you go into it knowing a certain feature might not work the way it should, by all means, get the mod. It's worth it for the simple fact that the mod is built like a tank, the software is awesome, kicks like a mule, perfect size and shape, etc. I dunno about anyone else who bought the mod and was disappointed by the TC, but I was never angry. All I wanted to do is figure out what the problem was, and see if there was a way to fix it.

Anyways, I think your post is great.

I've been enjoying the stainless steel temp control so much with the VTC that I had to order another one. Stainless builds just vape so much nicer for me in TC. Got the white this time so I can go for a storm trooper look. I wanted to try the v2 model but simply couldn't wait.
Hmm, I should get some SS wire and see what that's like, though I don't hold out much hope. I'm thinking about getting a Uwell Crown..

As far as VTC Mini v2 goes, pretty sure it's just more colors and updated to the 2.0 firmware, so you're not missing anything substantial (unless you wanted the updated tank...)

You almost can't go wrong with SS, since it also does regular power mode too.

I'm hoping whatever the QC issue is, that its been worked out by now. When the 2.0 units arrive we can see if the chips are the same at least.

The new colors will match-up to the new tanks better. The original mods don't quite color-match the tanks, but since I plan on switching the tank colors anyway it shouldn't matter. The windows look a bit easier to see the juice levels.

Gotta say, the Crown has a few quirks (o-rings and the RBA) but it rocks in temp mode on the VTC. I haven't tried a prebuilt coil head in temp control, just rebuilt coil heads with 26 gauge SS and the RBA with SS. It's fantastic.

The eGo One Mega is also very nice with rebuilt stainless steel coils in TC mode, but it isn't a match for the Crown if you like a warm vape. I like the eGo for fruity or minty flavors and the Crown for everything else (mostly doughnuts or yogurts lately). The Crown is simply killer for desert flavors. :thumb:

I was having a problem with my vtc staying in temperature control mode after the new update. I figured out a work around though. Remove your atomizer, then put the device in your desired tc mode, then drop the temp to it's lowest setting. Put your atty back on, lock the resistance, then hit the fire button until the tc kicks in. It'll work perfectly after that.

I think the problem is something makes it revert to kanthal/vw mode. If you trip the tc it'll stay in tc mode.

I have never used mine in tc mode. I havnt taken it out of vw mode. I like it because it is so small and still has a lot of power and flexibility if I should choose one day to go above 30w. I figured I would pop in and give my two cents because I got it to just use in vw mode. I did do the firmware update and all is still well. I'm using it with gs air Ms and M and is doing great for me.
