Meanwhile, after emailing joyetech with details and pictures proving the temp control/atty lock issue, i finally got a reply:

Dear friend

Thanks for your email.
For this problem kindly suggest you use our ego one atomizer.
Or you can turn it off and remove the tank until it is cool down.

Best wishes!

So either, i buy their Ego One tank, which everyone who got a full sized VT will tell you is less than well, crap

Or

I have to take the tank off each time i wish to vape...like im doing now, and suffer

Great customer support Joyetech....

Ill be returning both of my Minis for a refund if they dont come up with a fix by next week......

Wouldnt be sruprised if the vendors i know who have stock remaining just return the lot...

The (new) Presa TC75W also has upgradeable firmware...

Presa TC75W - Wismec Electronics Co.,Ltd

Shameless...in my opinion...as a new vaper...you're making things WAY MORE complicated than they have to be...thinking about TC, Nickle, SS, coil building, etc.

I've been vaping for 2 years and with my Nauty's (Kanthal BVC coils) on my VTC Mini and Cloupor 50W (just because a Mod has TC...it doesn't mean I have to use TC)...in the VW mode...I get the perfect "cigarette experience"...Throat Hit, Heat and appropriate amount of "smoke".

My suggestion...get a $29 Mod...stick your Nauty (with BVC coil) on it...put it in VW mode...start at 7Watts...and move it up in Watts until you get the "heat" you want.

In a couple months (after you've forgotten all about smoking with your "perfect" vape)...then you can start playing around with TC, coil building, etc.

Joyetech eVic VTC Mini Box Mod - $28.89

Cloupor Mini Plus 50W TC APV Box Mod - $28.99

Just sayin'...
Actually - I decided to try new tanks before I got a new mod.

I got the CeroTank and GS Air M, today. The CeroTank with my new narrow bore drip tip - has really changed things! Its now warm and has a tight draw - just what I was looking for!!

I'm so glad cause all the TC and Ni or Ti or SS coils and figuring all that stuff out (I've been vaping less than a month) was quite a lot to try to take in.

Now that I have a tank and tip that give me what I need - I can take my time and find a mod I really want (but it will probably still be the evic, I like that it's upgradable) but I can use it in VV/VW mode and worry about the rest later!!

Wismec hasn't said they will support SS wire or i would be on it, and have you ever ordered from Efun, are they trust worthy?
I've ordered a couple things from there - and had no problem. If you dont order from the US warehouse - things take a really long time (weeks) but there is an option to go to the US warehouse (they dont have everything there, but somethings), then the shipping time is normal.

Welcome to the " we've been ignored by joyetech club"! For the entry price of Wat promises to be an amazing mod you will receive 1 half working device, a lifetime subscription to fix it yourself magazine, a pin badge with the phrase " That's how it works" emblazoned on it and best of all absolutely no customer support what so ever! Warning side effects of joining this club may leave you feeling dissatisfied, disillusioned and with a sore feeling round the back end!

Im unsubscribing from that club quick smart :)

You send an email to support and marketing answers it trying to get you to buy something, that was a highlight..."so something you already bought from us doesnt work properly? why dont you buy somethign else from us?"

Maybe they'll recycle Apples "Youre holding it wrong" excuse from the iPhone 4/4s issue...

Will the gentleman take a bet that they never acknowledge the issue...

Alright one last marketing spiel and then ill call it quits

"VTC Mini v2 - It *works in VW/Bypass/TC-Ni/TC-Ti/TC-SS modes"

* actually only works in modes you specifically didnt buy it for - VW and Bypass

The 'Burgh, PA.
have you ever ordered from Efun, are they trust worthy?

I've ordered a VTC Mini and a Cloupor Mini Plus from Efun.top (at different times).

Both times...in order to get the color I wanted...I had to order from their "Global Website" (ie. China).

[There's a "dot" you click on right below the listed price.]

Interestingly...both orders took exactly 10 days from placing order => my mailbox (Pennsylvania).

(And both had Authentic packaging, codes, etc.)

it is upgradeable, so I would expect it to have it soon. Like I said, I love my D2, but would like another compact mod and now trying to decide on the new VTC Mini or the new Wismec Presa. The decisions just get tougher....

Code 5%downforyou makes it $37.99...

Thanks, appreciate the coupon! I think I'm gonna wait until Black Friday/Cyber Monday before I make any decisions.

And again I find myself returning to this thread after doing the work and offering the solution to people who are having issues with this mod only to find them complaining about a lack of support in fixing this issue. I demonstrated a method by which every user having an issue with this mod can document their reports to Joyetech and their lack of response which actually works and the only thing I asked is that someone else head up the effort because I have too many irons in the fire to maintain the data.

I'm begging for someone who is sincere about seeking a solution an following up by putting their proverbial money where their mouth is. I will provide the form and tracking spreadsheet and any help I can give in support but since my three mods are not affected this support will be limited. If you will not take the tools I am offering you as a group and put them into place to correct the customer support issue you are all having with Joyetech, as far as I am concerned Joyetech should not lift a finger to help you, simply because you are letting them get away with it.

I have been vilified in this thread for simply trying to help. I have offered the solution. Many have agreed it is the only solution that will work. Not one of you will accept the responsibility of doing the right thing for everyone that follows you.....

I don't know what else to say but, your own actions will dictate how long you all sit here whining about no solution yet and what crappy service Joyetech has while you simultaneously buy more of the very same units you are not satisfied with.

Am I Missing something here?

I have no patience for people who refuse to work to correct a situation they want to complain about!

Let me guess three more people have blocked my posts! God Bless you all and Happy Holidays!

PM me if any of you has the balls to proceed with this and I will gladly forward the data collection form and linked spreadsheet as well as detailed recommendations as to how to proceed.

Much bickering in this thread.

TC WORKS FOR MEEEE the lock resistance doesn't jump around anymore. It did this on FW 1.2. Jumped to 2.0, TC works fine. Hated the interface so jumped to 1.3, which also has SS setting. Everything works so well now :)

i for one think have done mu fair share of help, from tinkering to having it on the joytech forums

no more than that i guess, specially because ,warranty is mere 7 days,in a close to a blackmarket of vaping in mu country where its really hard to get a replacement, and sucking it up would be the only option..

lucky i had mine fixed.

and now is happy with my evic,i still keep a hammer handy just in case

but for everyone else.
well thats entirely up to you if you want to just whine and do nothing.

all options are already mentioned.

Good to hear from you Zeus01. Tagged you a couple of times. You see what I developed for your effort. You have yours fixed so your are giving up on the good fight? Just want to be sure since you have obviously tried more than most and as such you have earned my respect. I'm sorry I wasn't aware of your efforts on the other thread on a real time basis. Respect!

I tried to develop something for your effort but never heard back. Pretty sure that since you have a solution, and have done so much you would like to retire from the effort. Understand.

Any recommendations for anyone willing to take up the reigns? Just want to hand off my contribution to the effort and can't find anyone worthy or even willing to fight the fight.
