ignore me. I was talking about he IPV D2 that has no step down...my bad sorry!th
Thank you for your thatim thinking of how I can make my batt last longer.. reason why im thinking of making my coils low so it would fire in an instant with low wattage settings. am i thinking it right? sorry im new to vaping and these kind of devices.. by the way im using mutation x v4 atty with .50g kanthal how many wraps should I do with this to achieve like around .2 ohms or around that? first time to build my own ;-)

Have any other people that had the anemic TC vape notice that it has gotten better with the 1.20 update? I still haven't updated yet but if it helps I definitely will. My wife doesn't use more then 40watts so found no use to update unless it helps TC somehow.
I had same issues you have in tc mode but since updating mine it's stayed rock soild with no resistance drift and has vaped perfectly with Ti wire. There is definately a touch of underpowering in Ti mode but it's stable(for now!)

actually its the opposite of that if battery conservation is what you ar after go for a higher ohm build rather than a lower ohm build, lower ohms will pull more amps.
For what it's worth, with a well regulated mod it just doesn't matter whether you use a higher resistance or lower resistance with regard to battery drain. For a given wattage the mod trades off amperage and voltage to maintain your selected power. The drain on the battery essentially equals out.
Play with http://www.steam-engine.org/batt.asp a bit and you will see that your run time comes out the same regardless of the coil's resistance.
I do. (But, yes, I know some do not.)But we don't run dissimilar res coils at the same wattage, do we?
I bolded part of your reply because you bolded part of mine. Not because the res is lower (per se) but because the vaper can throw more watts at it.
I always figured it takes more juice to heat up more metal. Of course more metal, used well, can result in more vapor.

I agree because we can now pump volts into a coil that's far above what a 18650 can provide by itself. That's the gist of sub-ohming. More coil surface, more power, more heat, more vaporized juice, more flavor.
Cloud chasing is just an affectation.
And I'm not convinced the pinnacle of flavor lives only at the bleeding edge of low ohms.
Just updated to the V1.20 firmware. It does go to up to 75 watts now.

Will test the Temp Control all day today to see if any issues arise.
I haven't updated my firmware yet (I'm afraid I won't be able to return to the original firmware if I don't like the update)...but...in your photo the 4th line "Current 00.0A" appears to replace the "Battery" symbol showing the remaining charge.
Does the "Battery" symbol actually disappear with the firmware update???
