Aside from having less info, the placement of the text and the fonts looks awful. The faster scrolling of the wattage setting is welcomed but it didn't bother me so much in previous firmware. The only thing I didn't like with firmware is that the wattage change only goes up in temp control mode. I wish they'd do something about that instead.

i didnt notice that
Go back to v2 and you should get your info back, yet still retain the new features if it works anything like past updates.
went back to v2, accelerometer is slower in v2, doesnt retain the speed of v3.
having bad eyesight i wish my ohms reading was as large as the watts display

Sorry thought I read in an earlier post that you could do that & still retain the feature.

No, someone was confused.
1.3 was a progression of the updates to that time.
2.0 was a concurrent update with 1.3 using the different screen layout, same feature set though.

There was never a feature added that stuck when downgrading.

I'm also vaping it now with 0092 for SS316 and it works correctly on a single coil. The reason it's working for you is because the limit has become whatever your wattage is set to. You're essentially vaping in power mode.

I'm going to guess you have a low resistance dual coil build.

Because the Joyetech chips don't understand dual coils yet (as confirmed in the RX200 thread), you're getting the weak vape with "correct" TCR values.

Here a link to the RX200 thread where the "dual coil = a new TCR for the parallel circuit" phenomenon was discussed: Findings on the DNA 200

So, do your 0880 if it's solving the dual coil issue, but don't do it because you think it's the correct TCR value for the SS family. :) Know, what I mean.

Once you're in dual coil territory, if you really want an accurate TCR value, you can find the correct TCR by doing dry burns tests with cotton at around 400 to 420.

Or, just bump the number up / down until it feels right. This is what's so awesome about custom TCRs.

For the single coil users, I can assure you the correct TCR value is 0088 (if the .00088 TCR of SS317L is assumed).

Just fyi, my TreeBox understands single or dual coils right out of the box, and has tcr adjustment. Theres no atty lock even, but tc works perfectly.

Its what i got to replace my 2 faulty VTC Minis

Infinitely more stable than the VTC Mini ever was

Same chipset is in the XCube Mini and Koopor Plus 200w

Did a quick build to check out the NEW temperature support for higher ohm's in 3.0 firmware.
"VT mode, the resistance range has upgraded to 0.05-1.5ohm"

SS316L AWG 30 (0.25 mm) Coil ID 2.5 mm about 8 wraps 1.3 ohm's (spaced single coil)

Did a cotton burn test with below TC Setting's
1. TC SS316L setting
Fired with 8 watts @ 200 Degrees Celsius
Result = Cotton Burned breaks up into two ....temperature protection does not kick in...Fail

2. Changed Temperature Setting to TC M1 (Custom TCR Value set to SS316L = 0092)
Fired with 8 watts @ 200 Degrees Celsius
Result = Temperature protection kicks in .....cotton warm..lightly changes color ....WORKS !

Just for the sake of.. Ya, this device is the best mod of 2015 hands down.. The firmware support ftw. Thanks Joytech, awesome Christmas gift. Glad I own 5 of these! Added one more for the pure sake of....

If it were the best mod of 2015, JoyeTech's own and this forum wouldnt have any of the countless negative reports...and id still own 2...

Just saying, for balance...far too many fanboys not representing the truth. Anyone considering buying one should first check my and other posts on them for the possible faults, and to see how youre treated by JoyeTech's customer service. err sorry, marketing department when things go wrong...heres a tip: when anything goes wrong with a JoyeTech mod, be prepared to be told you can fix anything by buying a JoyeTech tank.

Number of people i personally know who bought a VTC Mini: 10
Number of people i personally know who still have a VTC Mini: 2 (vw users, all the tc'ers gave up with resistance dropping issues like me)

Number of people i personally know who bought a TreeBox: 3
Number of people i personally know who still have a TreeBox: 3

Statistics, theyre the damndest things

this is exactly why i bought one (still waiting for it!)
Kanger is releasing another "Subox Mini" version which they added SS wire option, version and guess what? no upgradable firmware insight! surely they see what Joyetech is doing, but i think that Kanger would rather continue making V1, V2, V3 mods and exploiting users for more $$ by slowing adding features than to make a single device that can evolve.

Man, we get it, you like your tree box :D
Joking aside, i also used to have issues with this devices tc but now it's been working flawlessly for a long time, with multiple different coils and with dual coils. And since i can adjust my own TCR, it's completely accurate as well.
I'm sorry you had unresolvable issues, it would appear most of us have had them resolved.
I'm personally joining the "Best value for money 2015" club, while still remaining outside the joyetech fanboy club. As i also agree their customer service is terrible.
