Hello, I just picked up my evic and protank 2 today and love it. Was using a twist with a t3s and like the bottom feeders a lot.

Question is I am slightly confused on using the 2.2 or 1.8 coil which is better and difference? Does lower volts allow higher wats?

I am using a fruit juice and the coil readout is 2.1 and using 6.1w. If I go higher it seems to taste burnt. What is the best voltage or watt setting?

The new 1.4 firmware is good cant wait for 2.0.

thanks for you thoughts

with the protank 2 and a 2.5ohm coil I can only go upto 7.5w and that will give me a burnt taste after a couple of pulls. Gotta let it set for a few minutes so resoak. I even tried taking out a wick and it helped a little could get maybe 5 pulls before the burnt taste. it was terrible. I swapped it out for the 1.8ohm and seems a little better but same burnt taste after a few pulls. Seems to work best at around 6.5-7.0 watts. I'm disappointed with it. not enough vapor at those wattages. With a carto or vivi nova I can use 8.0 easily with lots of vapor and no burnt taste even after marathon secessions.

im not using a protank, im using a vapeonly bcc mega, but my fruits i use between 6.4 (strawberry, bananna) up to 6.9 (watermelon, blackberry) in VW mode. changing the resistance in VW mode wont change anything, your evic is smart enough to keep you at whatever watt you set it at regardless of the resistance (as long as its within its firing range, and the needed volts is not too high). so if you set it at lets say 6.5w on a 1.8 head, then you change to a 2.4 head, you will still be at 6.5w, but the evic will change the voltage for you so you are still vaping at your wattage you like.
