I read a few places that one could use a evod glass tank with a pt2 mini base, so i ordered three of those bases and I cant seem to figure out how to make this work. The silicone piece with a single coil is not covering the chimney. Can someone shed some light on this for me. I am to new to actually message the peraon who posted that her and her daughter were using this method i think her user name is glointhedark though. Thanks in advance

No they dont work. Kanger changed the length of the tube in the tank so you HAVE to use their new coils with em.
Theyve also changed the design of the new dual coils too so you pretty much destroy them if you take them apart to rebuild em heh.
If you can get ahold of the older dual coil design you can rebuild those with just a single coil and they work fine but I dont even see anyone selling those anymore, theyre all the new 'sealed' type where the wicks dont stick out anymore..
That was the whole reason I DIDNT buy the Evod 2 starter kit and got the orignal Evod instead..

Ok well thanks for the reply pretty bummed about that wasted a decent bit of cash and the whole time was thinkinh i could make them into single coils. Just dont like the duals but i wanted glass. Now i did end up the the kind that you can rebuild and not the sealed ones so thats a plus. But i was really hoping that with thiae pt2 mini bases i could somehow run the si gles in there without any problems. Oh well live and learn. Thanks again

We have been using the Evod Glass clearos on Kanger Protank 2 Mini bases with Kanger single coils since April, and have had no problems. We use standard Evod 650 mAh batteries. I usually order genuine Kanger coils from Sun Vapers or Mt. Baker Vapor. I ordered the Evod Glass clearos and Protank 2 Mini bases from Sun Vapers. I have not ordered new coils since June, when I stocked up, so I am not sure if there have been changes to the single coils.

Are you and your daughter using an extra silicone rubber thingamajigg on the chimney or is it touching/sealing without that part touching? Thanks in advance !
We are using the Kanger single coils as they come. We are not fiddling with anything, just taking each coil out of the package and screwing it onto the base.
And theyre just working?? Wow I was looking all this up yesterday too and even saw that post in the Clearo forum murfection mentioned. Someone posted a pic of the two coils side by side with a ruler and it was pretty clear the new duals were longer.. Are you using the bases with the airflow control on it or just the stock PT2 Mini base by itself (not sure if that would even make a difference or not)?? Although even in that other thread, there were people the little silicone trick worked for, and others that it didnt..
We are just using the standard Protank 2 Mini bases, no adjustable airflow, and the standard single coils from Kanger. We have been using this setup since April, and so far have had no problems. If Kanger changed the single coils, we have not received any of the new ones so far. The last time I ordered coils was in June, and I will not be ordering more for another couple of months, since we clean and reuse the coils.
this is the closest thing i have come to that is a "GLASS single COIL" evod style LOL. it uses KT single coil heads so you should be good to go

Looks like a good deal. I am going to rebuild the coils from the evod glass and make them into a single coil. But i saved that link for future reference. I ended up rebuilding my first coil today but not on the glass evods. Tried the 28g first and it needed to many wraps to fit and i ended up using 32g after another trip to my local bm shop. 2.1 ohm not the prettiest thing but its working. Also used cotton love the taste but its leaking a little when it gets low. Also thank you everyone for replying. Im off to start a new thread and see if anyone knows of some juices similar to jon wayne lol. I have searched and searched and cant seem to find anything close. Thanks again!
