Using Bobas Bounty & my Evod keeps flooding even after changing out the head twice now.

Do you think I got a bad batch of heads? It's unbelievable how fast it happens & there's juice everywhere.

Any ideas? This is using brand new Kanger heads & I didn't remove any of the flavor wicks.
Never had this problem before.

Thanks

JC

Open up the heads and check the # of fw's in there and the arrangement, its not unheard of for them to come with only 1 fw or have it wedged off to one side.

Fluff/place the fw's back in and reassemble the head, carefully inspecting around the wick holes to see if you see any gaps etc.

Pretty much sure solution is replace the silica fws with a cotton one.

Very unusual with 100% vg though.

What is "fw"?

ETA, Estimated time of arrival: Flavor wicks! How are they any different from wicks?

Well in this particular example (ie referring to a PT head) we'd assume the 'wick(s)' would refer to the main wick, aka the one with the coil wrapped around it, and the 'flavor wick(s)' sit on top of the coil/(main) 'wick'.

Well, I tried everything. Replacing the flavor wicks with cotton only made things worse.
It has to be a bad batch of Evod heads. That's all that I can think of at this point.
I guess the main wick must be outta place or something.
I don't know what else to do other than keep replacing them til one works right. What a PITA.

What type of cotton did you use and how did you make the wicks?

It it gurgling or just straight leaking somehow?

Double check the head o-rings, make sure the heads are tightly seated in the base.

Keep rolling/installing bigger cotton flavor wicks till it either stops leaking/gurgling or it starts giving dry hits then move down just a bit.

There's only so many reasons it can leak, there has to be a solution.

I'm going with - Your Evod Has a Crack in it.

No functional Evod will ever Fast Flood with Boba's, cannot happen/ Tried multiple head and all do it. Flavor wicks in tact and in place.

Definitely sounds like a severe air leak into the tank. Air rushing in = e-liquid rushing out.

Do you have another Evod?

Simple Wick evaluation:
Hole wick at eye level. Look from the side to the wick slots. If any opening is visible, leaking can occur. If slots look full wicks are in proper position.
There really is no magic to these things. Simple elimination is in order.

This is what I went through at first. It took me a good couple of days to figure out the exact setup that made my coil heads work the way I want them to. Now that I have it squared away, I try to rebuild them exactly the same way every time. In fact, when I get new PT/EVOD coils, I immediately take them apart and rebuild them. I find that the stock coils are almost always poorly made.
