very nice surprise this morning to see that willy has posted! ;)

It's good to be back tibs. I want to thank you for reaching out to see if everything was OK, it was comforting to see someone reach out and just say "I'm thinking of you", it meant more to me then you know. Thank You. :)

Well since we last chatted the one thing that has changed for me in vaping is I've switched from the mizers to the merlins using the Ni200 clapton. I've got a build that works for me down pat, I love the clapton wire and I can rebuild these merlins in a zip. A quick spaced five wrap and the coils is in, then pull one half of a Sally's wick in, I know right where to cut the tail for length so when I bend them down they just fit and fill in the very top of the juice well, I end up seeing the cut ends through the side in the window/opening where the juice feeds in. Seems to be I found the magic tail length, I get nice big bubbles popping out after every couple drags which means the juice is a flowin! No thinning the tails, what's in the coil is the perfect amount to stuff in the juice wells, that speeds things even more. It's wrap the coil, pull the wick in, snip the ends, wet with juice, bend the tail into the wells and done! For me this is perfect cause I'm just not a fan of building but I can bang one out in just a few minuets and now there really is no reason to not have a fresh build every few days keeping a nice fresh vape going all the time, life is good! ;)

Hey dwcraig1 or BillW50, did your new (with USB) BBs :( come with the latest software, and if so was it the US or intl firmware?
Mine wanted to update to the latest INT when I first hooked it to EScribe.

Gee... I have no idea. I generally don't mess with what ain't broke. Let me check. SP6.1 is the latest EScribe says.

Not that it really matters to me but I just noticed that the battery side door on my yellow SXK BB is without the engraving on the inside of the door. I'm pretty sure that I'll get over it...LOL
Wow! Now you made me look at all of mine for the Hand & Robot Made engraving. Yes, there on all of them. Now I'm jealous and you got the rare one that made it through QA. Which automatically raises the resale value. :(

Not broke, but if you want a 1 second wattage boost, load on SP6.1 International, and enable boost punch in a non TC material profile ;)
Ah yes, I remember when this came up here before. And I didn't do it yet and probably won't until I need boost for power mode. ;)

Lovin the watts boost! I update my DNA's (All Of Them) as soon as the update comes down the pipe! Get them up to date Bill :) The watts boost works well on the EUC coils :)

For all you cat lover out there. Vaped one of my boxes bone dry this morning, it was the one that was super hard to slid the glass. I was having trouble getting it to slid again and thought I had broken the glass because when I looked at it to see if I did I saw this black cat hair stuck to the inside of the glass. I kind of looked like a crack at first.

But power boost won't do me any good with my EUC coils, since I am running them well with a TCR125, no boost, and at 25 watts. The only time I have found I needed boost for power or even TC is when I am using Claptons or mesh. And that depends on how beefy they are.

And remember, we always had a file called Kanthal_A1_preheat.csv which tricks the DNA into thinking that Kanthal is a TC wire. Yes useless for TC, but you will gain power mode boost. ;)

3F sells a spare glass door & 2 spare Orings for $2.99, I ordered a few cause I thought I mite break a glass or 2. But I haven't yet :)

I don't have the luxury of connecting all the time, I tried the EUC in TC & performance was meh :( In watts boost mode @ 35 watts, for me is were they really shine :) Imo the boost is one of the best features of the DNA & I was happy to see it arrive for the 60 :)

I don't know anybody who had broken the Boro glass, have you? I heard of people tearing up o-rings. I tried to do it myself by putting everything in bone dry and I still couldn't tear up the o-rings.

Well I just went to Fasttech to check what the recommended wattage was for EUC coils and it is 25W-35W. And first the bad news. Well it is all bad really. But FT lists those EUC coils w/sleeve as discontinued now. And I have 6 more packs still waiting to be fulfilled for a week now and I guess this isn't going to happen anymore. But I already have 9 packs, so this will last me awhile. Without the sleeve is still available, but for how long?

And when you are using those EUC coils at 35W with a boost no less, that has to be like 550°F/290°C would be my guess. It would be easy to check under TC and see how high you have to set the temp to give you the same vape. I bet it is up there somewhere. Yeah ceramic coils are tough to burn. But I don't think it gives you a green light to vape that high anyway.
