I just checked, all 3 Paranormals and the Drones are running firmware 1.1 service pack 35 (all two cell). But all 3 Triades are running firmware 1.1 service pack 33 (all 3 cell). So that doesn't explain anything. Hardware version perhaps?
I may be able to explain why my Drone battery drains. They are brand new cells which has never been drained. And having the voltage drop in time isn't unusual before they start getting exercised. If this is why they have dropped, then none of my 250C drains the batteries. And service pack 35 isn't the latest, is it?

EDIT: I just placed a well used set of batteries in one Drone and we will see what happens.

EDIT2: Looks like service pack 38 is the latest.

You just HAD to start talking about your craptop crapping out, didn't you! Mine seems to have a failing hard drive now. See what you did!!!!!
I pulled 4 hard drives out leaving 2 and adding 2 more. All 2Tb each for a total of 8 Tb.
Someday I'll get around to SSD's.

Wow! Twilight Zone!

  • x2 Paranormal 250C purchased Apr 2018 (no drain)
  • x2 Triades 250C purchased Jul 2018 (no drain)
  • x1 Triade 250C purchased Jan 2019 (no drain)
  • x2 Drones 250C purchased Feb 2019 (*** drains ***)
  • x1 Paranormal 250C purchased Apr 2019 (I dunno yet)
Depends on firmware version? Remember I don't update unless I have to.

I would like to test your theory. In my E-Scribe files the earliest 250c Firmware I have is Service Pack 33, I'm assuming it's the original firmware from the 250c's when they were new?
All my 250c's are @ SP 38 now. Is SP33 the Original file? If not can some one direct me to where I can find the Original service pack from the 250c?
I will write the OG firmware back & see if it eliminates the battery drain :)

I'l try SP33 for now, I will charge up one of my mods to 100% and leave it over night @ SP33, lets see what happens :)

Sitting down, facing forward.
I just "upgraded" my desktop to Windooohs 10. As part of that I installed an M.2 SSD drive for the boot drive. I've used SSD drives before, and three out of four died with no warning indicentally, and they were fast, but this M.2 seems even faster. Boot time, from power up, is under 30 seconds with everything loaded. I just hope it holds up longer than my previous experiences have. Just being OCD, and cautious, I now run a clone of the boot drive on a weekly basis onto a spare 500GB platter drive, just in case.

So my desktop still suffers from one deadish Pcie slot and 3 out of 6 memory slots are dead. Nice and clean now and working good despite the above.
I had to put the lesser video card back in as the big one was going to be too difficult to get in there. The fan in the little card was frozen, probably for some time. I removed the whole fan and shroud, it has a large copper finned heat sink so it can just run silent for the rest of it's days.

    Good luck with that
My 3 C's have all drained a tiny bit from day 1, with every firmware. I plugged in my Efusion Duo with LiPo installed. Last puff was March 20. Device Monitor showed 12.59v, so a drop of only .01v over a 2 month period.

I agree 100%! I'm just, for the sake of argument, trying to Debunk Bills post!
I'm certain all the 250c's drain the batteries when sitting idle for long periods! If some one says theirs don't & gives a reason, I will try to replicate their results :)

I have down graded the firwwear in 2 250c mods 1 dual 18560 & 1 4S Lipo, after sitting for a while I'l see for my self if the earlier F/W works :)

    Whoa wait a second.

I don't count this as a drain. Remember the battery is running the clock and a .01v drop in 2 months for running the clock is pretty damn good if you ask me. ;)

Fully agree with ya BillW50. That LV Efusion was my 2nd DNA200. No clock, no color

Where did you find older firmware? I used to remember where on Evolv's site.
Beside on Evolv's site it will be in your EScribe installation....well as far back as your installation is old.....unless that were intentionally deleted.
On the site look under "early firmware and escribe"

You said it Bill! Your's don't drain when sitting idle & maybe an older F/W being the reason?
My 250c's drain, 4 maybe even 5% in a 24 hour period from just sitting there idle, this isn't cause of the clock! If indeed your 250c's aren't doing this & it is because of an older F/W, I'm going to try it, & see what my results are.

Where did you find older firmware?

In E-Scribe tools/ apply SP there is a list of the older F/W's you have from before you updated your chip's :) In mine there its older version 33.2

Ha!Ha! Good luck with that . I've seen him argue with Mooch over Aspire batteries. BillW50, you know that was just a gentle ribbing

At some point, I'm only been seeing the latest and all prior versions removed. YMMV, except for that one Feb 2016 that still worked with AA (I put it there)

    Edit: They're all back
