It seemed that I needed to clean the battery cap and threads on my Spade. I cleaned them a couple of days ago with just dry paper towel, tonight I used alcohol on that paper towel. Got nice black stuff on the towel when using it. 1st fire is dirty, 2nd and 3rd are after cleaning using alcohol.
Look at the coffee apparatus above, looks like an old vacuum pot rig, on a large scale. I am betting it made goooood coffee.
Oddly, GPU-Z won't tell me the power for the NVIDIA, just for the Intel UHD. But I have the power supply plugged into a watt meter and at idle, the whole laptop is only drawing 12 watts with the NVIDIA GPU toggled off. Toggling the internal display backlighting on and off changes nothing. Weird, that power has to be going somewhere.
The NVIDIA when switched on, uses 20 more watts at idle and goes up from there. But what really surprised me is the Intel i7 CPU. When its maxed out eats up 45 watts alone. It often beats out the NVIDIA for power in most non-gaming use. When the CPU and GPU are both maxed out, the total draw is 132 watts. All readings are with the battery not charging.
Over the last 60 hours, it is averaging 1kw per 30 hours with the NVIDIA running. The laptop was powered off for about 20 hours out of the 60.
I received the 2 Insiders today that I had ordered from 3F. I selected something called "US Special Air Mail" shipping for an addl. 50 cents.
They shipped via Wanb Express to US and then sent it back out using USPS. I had no USPS tracking till I retreived the number off the package. Here's the kicker, it had $5.50 postage for USPS. Here's tracking for both.
