I really like this one https://www.fasttech.com/products/8212700 looks like an 810, but it's a 510
You need an atty with a fairly big flat top to hold it.
I like these Mr Fuji clones, you can get them with or without the MTL insert.

and in other news - i sure hope all of our canadians had a chase credit card!![]()

let's keep an open mind, willywhile i think the odds are good there are still a lot of unknowns.
I have a Novo flush key on my BB and its flat shelf loves to accumulate juice, don't know why these manufacturers can't put a decent chamfer on the hole.
Totally agree the Plus is an endgame atty for 30mm.BTW the Supreme Plus in SS is on sale at FT this weekend $23.31https://www.fasttech.com/p/6578002?...15-190809&utm_term=jack&utm_content=Promotion
Not Bad! this usually sold for around $30 on FT & as much as $50 other places.
This is still The Best Atty! you can buy to date, IMO![]()
That it is.I think it's to absorb moisture.
That never usually goes well for me, and I don't have any drills sharp enough.Any chance you could chuck one in a drill chuck, spin it and put the bevel on it? I use my drill press to make or modify small parts that way, spin the part and use cut off wheels, dremel bits, files and sand paper to shape and then fine finish. Could also use a hand drill, just clamp it in a vise or onto a bench.

Poor excuse I know...![]()

There is a substantial ledge in there and it's stainless steel. What I had in mind was just use the drill to spin it then use either a miniature file or a dremel bit to make the bevel, once the bevel is cut use fine wet or dry sand paper (320-400 grit) to get rid of the filing marks and put a nice brushed looking finish to it. Go one more step and polish it to a chrome like finish if you need that to match, super fine sand paper and then a polishing wheel on a dremel with something like Flitz would give a really nice finish.
320 grit paper is what I used on the fire button and heads of those tiny screws of this mod I made, spun them in a drill and held the paper to them. It's the same paper I used to put the brushed finish on the body of the Hammond box, just sanded in a straight line, give's you an idea of that kind of brushed finish look with 320.

I have a bench metal lathe probably manufactured in the late 30's or early 40's (it's on its 4th electric motor I think) that you could stop by and use. I have no vertical mill though. What I wouldn't give for a small metal lathe and vertical mill.![]()
