I recently went to a swanky restaurant in Winston-Salem and had a GREAT meal. It was kind of creepy looking around though. This was in the old tobacco warehouse district and most warehouses have been converted to lofts and shops. I looked around and saw this huge infrastructure that was built by tobacco. Kind of creepy actually.

Danville, Richmond, etc is the same way. Creeps me out a bit when I patronize one of the new foody spots.

I cant blame BT for my addiction. By the time I started it was the 60s and it was pretty much known that the stuff was real bad. I had to be "cool" and did it anyway. Cant blame BT for that.

When I was a kid I spent a lot of summers in the Boone area. While not as prominent in the mountains, I remember several family members grew tobacco and my grandfather (actually great uncle but that's a different story) would have it hanging in the attic of the millhouse along with ham curing.

I know Boone well. Lots of pottery going on there now.

This whole region (the Piedmont) used to be dominated by tobacco in one way or another. Lots of money was made by BT. Given their lies and the essential vulture-istic nature of their business model, it is quite mind boggling. They really are akin to legal Drug Pushers. Nonetheless, most of the folks below retirement age knew better when they started, we have to own that, just as I will always own my right to vape - regardless of regulations (which are also vulture-istic).

Is that substantiated somehow? I would love to quote that, but only if it is fact.
I found it, Jai Haze got the story wrong (1:12 in the live video). The story:

Brenda Fitzgerald, the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, resigned Wednesday morning after Politico reported that she bought stocks in a tobacco company after being tapped to lead the public health agency.

Trump's CDC director resigns after reports she bought tobacco stock after taking over the agency

But that was a year and a half ago.

The UK predicts smoking will be gone there by 2030, thanks to electronic cigarettes.
I got this wrong, sorry. The UK wants smoking gone by 2030.
I highly doubt it! Tobacco is a sinking ship! Who wants to get on a sinking ship?
Listen to this. Many states wanted the money from the tobacco bonds right away. So they cashed them in early. Now cigarette sales are down and they don't have enough money to cover what they owe on the bonds. So the states are doing everything they can to increase cigarette sales. So how can they increase cigarette sales? By demonizing vaping. :(

I highly doubt Pres Trump decide to implement a flavor ban then picked up the phone, bought tobacco stocks, this stinks of fake news. Anything to cast a negative story on him, ask yourself why they are trying so hard to get rid of Trump?

We'll all find out, I'd say within the next year it will come to light. As I said, people are waking up and it's not just about Trump or vaping bans, we have been "thought controlled" (controlled narratives) on almost every aspect of our lives for decades, well even longer then that, people are connecting dots and waking up.

It's all about power, control and wealth. And they don't give a damn about you, me or our families, we are just pawns on a chessboard. Divided we are weak, united we are strong. Thank God we have a constitution, rule of law and some good people who are sick and tired of the games being played.

On a sad note, my wife came home in tears last night, a lady who worked on her staff passed away and my wife is feeling she's to blame. Kind of a long story, my daughter has been getting a lot of relief using CBC oil she picks up at a local health store and she's been trying to get me to try it for my spine pain, problems is it's expensive and I just won't spend over $100 and a month on that stuff just to see if it will help. My wife never heard of this CBC oil before, but seeing how it's helped my daughter she recommended it to this lady who worked on her staff, well that lady contracted a reaction to it which put her in the hospital. They had this lady in the burn unit, she had red blisters all over her body, she lost the battle today and my wife feels terrible, she's taking it very hard. After she's had time to calm down I'll find out the name of this medical condition this lady had and let you know, "Steven's" something, I didn't want to ask again because she was so upset.

Just be careful what you buy out there, when my wife told me this I was shocked, I instantly thought about these people who became ill from vaping these CBC or THC products. "Seems" to be a sudden rash of problems with CBC and THC related products, I have to wonder, is something is going on? Something we'll find out down the road? The scary thing is this happened suddenly and quickly with this lady, be careful folks! If you've been using a product for a long time without problems that's one thing, but I'd be careful about trying any unknown product new to you, at least for the time being.

ETA: This oil I'm talking about is and was NOT vaped, it's an oral oil you drip on your tongue or (I think) you can mix in a drink or with food, my daughter drips it on her tongue.

What's weird is that Trump was in support of vaping back in 2017. Now in 2019 he has sold us out. Somebody got to him. He warns against fake news and now he is falling for it.

Sitting down, facing forward.
Willie, the first thing that came to mind was "if one drop is good, a tablespoon is better". That could have easily been the problem. Not saying it was with no evidence, but should certainly be considered. Along with that is the quality, and suitability, of the product for human consumption, even in drop sized portions.

not necessarily - an allergy comes to mind, at least for me ;) and until there's further research we won't know.
But is it true?
nope, it was somebody in his administration
