Can I get better Wi-Fi speeds with a newer Modem/ Router? I have a Motorola SBG6580, I cant even remember how long we have had it? (Long Time) The kids are all ways complaining about their WiFi speed/connection I'm wired in & get speeds of 120 Mbps down & 10 Mbps Up. The kids aren't getting any were near that, on WiFi :(
Recently at where I work we had 4 more cameras installed, at the same time the 3 WiFi access points were replaced. I expected little change from them except longer life. Our wired speed is around 125Mbps down and the old WiFi access points would do 12 to 20, now with the new ones it's around 90 down. I was impressed.
BTW, the old ones were all N, I don't know what the specs for the new ones are. I'll have to look into that I guess.
Edit: They also replaced the router that was between them and the cable modem, it was N capable also.

I have one of the first gen Bell Fibe routers (Actiontec R1000H) and I get 95Mbps down & up on the wired desktop. The wife's laptop gets 24 down 30 up and my Kindle gets 7 & 15... But Bell provides horrible gear.

Depending on your provider you might be able to switch the 6580 into bridge mode and put anyone of the newer Tri-Band MU-MIMO routers in place.

Not really. Here is something you can check right now though.

Complete Wireless Guide | SBG6580 | Router Guide

As one setting could be off in the WiFi configuration causing all of the problems.

Thanks Bill! it was my settings! They needed some tweaking :)
I'm getting 99 down & 10 up on WiFi next to the modem/ Router :)
In the kids room He's getting in the 80's now. Sweet!
Thanks again Bill :)

''Can anyone recommend a portable power supply for the Activa RC for a power outage or extended camping trip?''

this question showed up on one of my lists - i can see why the poster is looking for recommendations. without stimulation pd patients are almost helpless. since my dh does not have a rechargeable device i'm at a loss and medtronic does not provide much info :(

Sitting down, facing forward.
Tibs, I just had a look at that device and without more specifics it's impossible to say. I went looking for the manual, but it describes what symptoms indicate usable of the device rather than supplying specifics on the battery used. Without that, what kind and voltage, it's a little hard to give an answer and you don't want to make a mistake with that one.

Is this of any value? If it works then any small AC inverter should do the trick????

There is an AC adapter/charger that charges the main unit which in turn does a wireless charge on the implant.
Page 22 of this PDF shows the system.

Unfortunately there are no output specs listed, they MIGHT be able to plug the AC charge unit into an inverter or generator but it all depends on output of the inverter, some devices don't like the square wave AC that some of them put out.

A pure sine wave inverter would be my recommendation, but they would need to see how much power the AC unit draws and get one that will provide sufficient output.

There are some inexpensive inline meters on Amazon, you could plug that device in and see how many watts/amps it draws and then you'd know what size inverter you need. You'd want to go a little bigger, I'm sure the guys who know better than me will advise how much bigger. Amazon.com: inline amp meter

So there is all ways casualties :( I fixed my WiFi & now my printer will not connect any more. Not really the biggest deal cause it's an old outdated POS!
So can any one recommend a really good all in one Printer, Scanner?
Was never a fan of the AIO, so I have B&W laser, a Colour Laser and a separate scanner.
