steam crave was never ever about single coil attys, all of their gear is designed around dual coil builds. Due to the recent resurgence in single coil RTAs they made a single coil deck for the Supreme and Plus to appease the minority of customers that wanted such.

I'm told there are lots of great single coil RTAs out there not made by steam crave.

Why would anyone buy a Kayfun when they could purchase multiples of some other brand, some of which may even offer more flexibility over the Kayfun (as in larger or multiple coils). The Wotofo Profile was an extremely popular atomizer which displays peoples interest in mesh. Perhaps SvoëMesto has a mesh version of the Kayfun in the works (kinda doubt it), but they currently offer nothing in a mesh option which means they are loosing out in a very large market.

Just browsing a local high end vape shop (Vapes by Enushi) and came across a Taifun GT IV DLC Storm Edition. $327.99 CAN. One could buy a boat load of Vandy Vape or Wotofo atty’s for that price. Could have a different atomizer for every day! I’m going to assume Taifun is not trying to cater to the mass produced, China made market. This is a cost no object atomizer that focus on certain aspects of fit and finish. To some, this presents great value. To others, a $330 atty is unrealistic.

Not every manufacture can cater to our individual needs with a single product. There will always be a compromise. I see the Aromamizer as a product that is trying to cover as many options as possible all while trying to maintain a functional product. But unfortunately to do so, certain sacrifices have to be made. Should they offer the single coil as a default option, then dual coil users (regardless of how much juice they consume) will suffer and have to purchase their preferred deck separately. 6 of 1 half dozen of the other. And should they try to cater to all, and include all decks, then the cost may be too high to be marketable.

I love the BB Vapes Brand B2K RSA and each one comes with a few accessories like top caps, beauty rings, 810 and 510 drip tips etc... I have 5 B2Ks consisting of the V3, V4, and two V5s, plus a spare base and assorted optional top caps.

This is whats included with the V5 kit, the V4 and V3 are a bit different but have the same amount of accessories.

So how many accessories does one really need? I suppose he could have set up a website so you could select your choice of cap, ring, drip tip etc to make your order as frugal as possible...

He sold spare bases if you wanted to use your extra caps on different squonkers. But buying a base and a single standalone cap was %60 of the price of the kit and all cap choices were not available.

I also have a QP Designs KALi Master Kit V2.

Now I really would like to purchase a spare base or two for it, but QP Design doesn't sell them.
Do I hate them for this? Not at all it is what it is.
Would I buy another master kit if I found one on sale? In a heartbeat.

You have to compare apples to apples! There are knock off versions of those expensive atty's out of china also! With comparable pricing to Wotofo & VV

SC is a China brand, not a knock off of a "High End" brand, so they're pricing is reasonable. They also cover a lot of different combinations for those who would rather not buy a whole kit.
I bought the plain version of the Plus's & added the 15 mil version of the glass & the single coil deck, cause thats how I use them. IMO a better option than buying a whole kit with a 5 mill section I'l never use :(
Continuing in this tradition they have broke down the new Plus V2 into individual parts to purchase separately , so configuring exactly what you want is a breeze :) That said there has to be a "Standard Deck config" & naturally it should be a dual coil deck witch is what the atty is best known for :)

Agree clones are available for some products, but not everyone is into buying clones. We have choices, and we choose what fits our needs and values.

It was said, why buy a product that requires the additional purchase of a deck so in order to cater to an individuals needs. Fair question and one that I respect, but the counter argument is why buy an expensive product when there are also much cheaper offerings. I used Kayfun because that was the first that came to mind. We could remove Kayfun or even the Taifun as the product of comparison and insert anything of similar value, even ones that do not have a clone, and still come up with the same conclusion of an expensive product being limited to what it caters to.

It was mentioned the Aromamizer is losing out on the single coil market with it’s default config. SvoëMesto does not even offer mesh or dual coil configs. The cost of the product was brought into discussion and I made an apples to apples comparison based on cost to display limitations. In other words, cost is not a qualifying factor of a single product that can cater to all. There is always a compromise.

I love all of my Aromamizers, unfortunately I hate vaping with them. As I noticed the more SS used, the more I taste the SS. And Aromamizers are just too much SS and overpowers the taste of my juice. I guess I have a high sensitivity to one of the alloys used in SS. I have the same problem with my Kayfuns too.

My biggest beef with multiple coil attys is more of a technical one. So unless the coils are identical in every way, one coil is going to get hotter than the other. And it doesn't matter if you are using TC or not. To fix this, you would need a separate output channel for every coil. I haven't ran the numbers and maybe I should. As maybe the tolerances doesn't have to be really tight as I think they should be.

And vape-wise, I don't think there is a big difference in your vape if you use two medium size coils or a single larger coil. And if it is true, why bother with dual coils and put up with the temperature differences between the two?

And a single coil isn't perfect in itself either. As when we bend the wire to form a coil, every bend is going to stress that part of the coil and cause a variation in temperature. If that isn't bad enough, I've noticed the more saturated with juice the coil gets, the hotter the legs gets. Even to the point of getting them to slightly glow. I've sometimes ran the wicking along side the legs whenever possible to keep the legs cooler.

I always do that, but in my case because it channels the airflow. Hadn't thought about maybe it keeps the legs cool before.

I also received the Dovpo Odin DNA250C yesterday and I just love it. With the PMTA around the corner, no telling if we are going to see anything like these anymore. :(

I dunno about that, in my attempts to try and coax an Epetite to replace the one i have away from someones hands, i found i couldnt - postage from the USA was half the cost of what the 1 person over there wanted for one, and id rather him have the USPS share, and at home god love him, Laurie did offer me his, but i couldnt accept as it has custom panels etc made specially for him - he did try several times after i told him i wouldnt accept it as it was custom, to force it on me...made me love Laurie even more.

So i emailed LostVape to see if perhaps they would revive the Epetite as they sold really well, and they told me they are releasing a new vape mod mid year. They havent gotten back to my follow up emails as to whether it will be an Epetite type single mod or not yet....

But they are still planning releases....

The Plus V2 is a great looking tank @Steamer861

That's the 8ml SS metal tank extension (a la Goblin Mini V3) from the Advanced Kit. You can still use the chimney tubes and glass from the OG Plus as well, so I can see a 15ml bubble with that 8ml extension as a daily driver.

Pics from the FB group.

Looks real Nice! Since I have all the accessories I use all ready, a basic kit for $36 sound good to me :) I can see the JFC & AFC upgrades, just wondering if they did any thing to the inner chamber?
TBH I cant see much of an increase in vape quality! With the old chimney & 15 mil glass it will look all most the same as it does now.

I'l still try one when they are in-stock, but I'm not expecting any real performance gains.
