What caused the damage? An update?
One of the plastic clips on the CPU cooler let go. I was gaming with a buddy at the time on the PS4 with headphones and didn't hear the CPU running at 5000 RPM till I got up for a break.

After hauling everything out of the cubby hole it lives in, taking it down to the shop for a full cleaning I noticed the broken clip. All of them were fragile (box is quite old). So I removed the other clips made some standoff and bolted the cooler to the board. Hooked it all back up, fan was back to 1500 RPM but Windows wouldn't come up. Played with that for a few hours, got it to boot into safe mode once but no luck on a full boot.

I put Ubuntu on a USB drive earlier today and it crashed as well. Ran a memory test and it locks up... I think the CPU was too hot for too long. I have an old P4 820 that I'll pop in and see if that's what it was.

Still looking for a new box, probably going to be a Ryzen 5 3600X, 16GB, GTX1660 Super, 512 SSD and 2TB HD. There are a few on Amazon and those would be fine, I can't be bothered chasing all the individual parts for a few hundred cheaper as I need case, PS and a copy of Windows 10.

I dunno if I'd sell anything vape related right now dwcraig1, especially rebuildables. After September 9, all vape shops might not have anything they could sell anymore. And the supply of anything vape related could dry up. And you might have wished you kept them for the future.

Well it started out with thinking to sell the BB stuff. If you folks recall my Bantum got the washer and dryer treatment. And like a dummy I popped in a fresh battery before drying it out and it started making magic smoke. I got the battery out quickly and the mod smelled bad so I put it away till last night. I rinsed the board off a few times with 91% alcohol and used a blow dryer on it. Smells acceptable now so I set up an A box with an Eleaf .6 ohm SS mesh head, suppose to be 15 - 30 watts. Will it didn't vape all that strong and I didn't feel like making a 28 gauge coil for in what ever it's called. I took that A box and stuck in in a BB, 45/35 watts it shines.
It's the first time using an SXK BB in about 3 months.

Also, would the next mesh strips fit. I have a lifetime supply of those.

Yes, I have been hearing that those nexMesh strips works well if you do a little trimming. Gosh, I just love these Zeus X Mesh tanks. I already vaped 50ml through one and the mesh still looks like I installed it just 10 minutes ago. ;)
