Have you ever taken those apart before laurie9300? Ever have a problem with the battery connection at the door?

Ughhh that damn door! Held together with sticky tape! WHY?

Took it all apart, got all the sticky goop off. Added, VERY sparingly, a few drops of super glue, clamped it together. Managed to glue the sliding catch totally solid!

I did manage to free it up a bit, and have been working it back and forth a lot to free it up more. I still can't open and close it by hand yet, but it's getting easier. At least the door is solid now so battery connection is good.

I heard many stories about those doors. My two are still holding up fine. But I rarely used them, so maybe that is why.
