I believe in right to protest, however that does not allow them to shout or display obscenities, touch others, or break the law in any way. Vulgarity & shouting of obscenities are not freedoms of speech in a protest. Neither is violence, blocking traffic, littering, etc.
I firmly believe all protests should be registered & permitted with local authorities and require insurance policies submitted to local authority to cover all security, emergency services, damages incurred by any party, and cleanup costs associated with that protest.
You would see a lot less of them if those perfectly reasonable requirements were put in place and taxpayers would be much better off for it not having to absorb the costs for those involved in civil protest who often use it as an excuse to act like animals.
