Mike, how does that short wisdom story go, "a man walks down a road and falls in a hole" I can't remember just how it goes. My neighbor is on the downward spiral and nearing the cliff, he was able to bounce back once again from the last hole he fell in, he got yet another chance and he hasn't learned a thing, wish I could help him, I've been there.

Yeah I have a dremel I should probably do that but I was thinking I should try it out on a clone first.

A major reason why I buy clones, I cringe taking a Dremel to an original.....but I overcome that some time ago.

Other than "straight-from-temco", where do you guys buy your Ti wire from? I know I've asked this before, but I don't have my bookmarks/favorites available to me atm.

I found it.

“I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I fall in.
I am lost... I am helpless.
It isn't my fault.
It takes forever to find a way out.

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I pretend I don't see it.
I fall in again.
I can't believe I am in the same place.
But, it isn't my fault.
It still takes me a long time to get out.

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I see it is there.
I still fall in. It's a habit.
My eyes are open.
I know where I am.
It is my fault. I get out immediately.

walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I walk around it.

I walk down another street.”

This is the added version, I liked this best,

AN ADDICT FELL IN A HOLE and couldn’t get out.

A businessman went by and the addict called out for help. The businessman threw him some money and told him to buy himself a ladder. But the addict could not buy a ladder in this hole he was in.

A doctor walked by. The addict said, “Help! I can’t get out!” The doctor gave him some drugs and said, “Take this. It will relieve the pain.” The addict said thanks, but when the pills ran out, he was still in the hole.

A well-known psychiatrist rode by and heard the addict’s cries for help. He stopped and asked, ” How did you get there? Were you born there? Did your parents put you there? Tell me about yourself, it will alleviate your sense of loneliness.” So the addict talked with him for an hour, then the psychiatrist had to leave, but he said he’d be back next week.

The addict thanked him, but he was still in the hole. A priest came by. The addict called for help. The priest gave him a Bible and said, “I’ll say a prayer for you.” He got down on his knees and prayed for the addict, then he left. The addict was very grateful, he read the Bible, but he was still stuck in the hole.

A recovering addict happened to be passing by. The addict cried out, “Hey, help me. I’m stuck in this hole!” Right away the recovering addict jumped down in the hole with him. The addict said, “What are you doing? Now we’re both stuck here!!” But the recovering addict said, “I’ve been here before. I know how to get out.”

I got my 100 feet on tempered nickle wire from Lightning Vapes today, it came ten large spools with ten feet each on them...... really? Anyways, this is tough wire, very, very stiff, but it does make nice coils. You'd be hard pressed to deform a coil, I overstuffed a pair with rayon just to see how hard I could pull on the wick before bending the coil, it didn't budge. I'll be ordering it again, but next time I'll make sure it's all on one spool, my bench is already cluttered enough.

I have a dremel and a good assortment of cutting tools but I don't like using them. It's too easy to remove too much with them, they have their place and are handy. I like small files, a good sharp file kept free from clogging will remove material fast enough and you have better control.

@mikepetro so Claptons with Ti core + SS wraps is working out for you?

My dual coil builds made with 28/30ga Ti Claptons - both parallel (aka fused?) & twisted cores - are too close to 0.1Ω for my taste...haven't figured out how best to combine and hit my target resistance.

I am using 26g TI for the core, and 40g SS316 for the wrap. A 5/6 wrap coil comes out about 0.13 ohms.

Working out fine. I dont twist the core though.

Could you flip this part upside down?

You would think so, but for some reason they don't sit right like that. like, cockeyed.

My opinion on the hadaly is about the same, after about a week. flavors are slightly better than the narda but only bc I can fit a clapton into there, other than that it's definitely much less convenient, it tends to leak when on its side and if I oversquonk juice comes out the air holes.

Also, somehow they managed to make tabs harder to use than screws. Gonna use it for a while then probably go back to the narda.
