Well I tell ya - that was intense, and not having the TV to drown out the sound was awful !
We got really, really lucky here !
No damage here, house a couple of doors up lost an oak tree
There were a few times I was ready to get into the closet.

I was glad when I saw it losing strength as it approached your area.

Hurricanes are awesome and scary as hell. Its god's way of saying "Now! Look who's the bad azz".

so...I have a rip roaring headache and a sour upset stomach.
Adrenaline let down ?

How's your heart rate? Mine would be sky high for the next few days....... Glad you folks made it through OK, lot of folks not so lucky. I even forgot it was 9/11 until later in the day, that's the first time that has happen since that terrible day. I feel really rotten I didn't have my new flag pole up yet, been giving the cement a few days to cure but I'm sure it would have been OK for today. I think I better wait a few days now, just wouldn't seem right to put it up tomorrow.....

I am surprised I like the 60s, they never really hit the beta group. A very few of us got DNA50s, but they evolved into 60s and went straight to market. Even though I ran a co-op on them, I never actually used one myself.
+1 for the DNA60!
I'm running 4 of them & really liking them :) Kinda wished I had got more of them when I had a chance :( But hind sight is always 20/20

Glad to hear Classy is ok :thumb:

The BAP60, to the best of my knowledge, the only one in existence.

For me this was just a nostalgia and novelty build. I dont ever see it as being my Go-To mod. So I didnt spend a lot of time making a perfect finish, a few coats of CA, no sanding, just enough to protect the black from wearing off at the corners.

1st mod I have made in a while, since the ERM+ really, felt good to create something again.

ETA, full Escribe compatibility!!!!
I haven't built anything in a while either so I decided to build a shelf for my 12 50cal ammo cans I got a couple of months ago. I tried cutting the 2x4's with a circular saw and realized it wasn't cutting straight so I sprung for a miter saw. A project isn't really a project unless you acquire a tool, right? :) From the plans I followed, it should hold about 800lbs per shelf. Not sure if that's right but this should easily hold 4 full ammo cans on each shelf.

I also picked up another tape measure from Home Depot. It' a Milwaukee 6'/2m for $4. Most vape stuff is measured in metric so I bought a steel 12"/30cm straight ruler. Now I have a pocket metric tape measure :)

I picked up a 6' Stanley FatMax when my 8' tape measure broke a few months ago. I have a few 25' but they're way too big for 90% of what I measure.

The Milwaukee is better made but the Stanley has better markings (but not metric).

Some tape measure tips:

Classy, glad you're OK and got power back so quickly. Having your power out for a few weeks which is what some folks are facing is truly miserable to go through. I went 2 and a half weeks after hurricane Sandy. I hope all the other folks here who got caught in Irma are making out OK.
